485 to be rerouted via Putney High Street and extended to Riverside quarter from the 6th November 2021. Goodness it's been a long time since that consultation went out in 2018, probably good to see it's finally happening though.

485 to be rerouted via Putney High Street and extended to Riverside quarter from the 6th November 2021. Odd that this is announced now, just at the point when TfL have to identify some deep cuts to the bus network. I wonder if we will see other outstanding improvements given the green light ahead of the first bus service review, such as the 324 extension and the proposed Sutton changes.

Doesn't look like the freq is increasing thou as originally it was going to every 15 mins and the 209 dropped slightly. Personally I'd merge the 378 and 485 to run Mortlake to Riverside and axe the 485 as doubt it carries much up Castlenau.

The 378 the frequency will decrease from 7 buses an hour to 5.

By then the 646/648 would have vacated the SOEs over there which could come across for the 485.

Will it be serving Wandsworth still or completely missing it out Judging by the consultation it will still serve Wandsworth. I had to do some digging to find the consultation so I've included the link below to save everyone else the hassle consultations.tfl.gov.uk/buses/485-283/

There was a consultation that involved the 485 and 424 once I seem to recall where the 485 I think was going to Putney Heath and the 424 diverted via Roverside or something.

I agree with this, though would suggest to additionally merge with the 419 - going from Richmond to Wandsworth Riverside via Barnes Bridge, Castelnau, Putney Common and East Putney. The Roehampton section of the 419 could be replaced by rerouteing the 265 to Castelnau. Then restore the 72 to Roehampton via the N72, replacing the 265 section via Putney Common.

And doing that cuts journeys made on the 265 south of Roehampton ASDA.

Not sure about sending the 72 via the N72. It will parallel with the 220 even more and end up sitting in all the traffic on Putney Bridge, Fulham Palace Road etc

The 72 if it was double decked and went to Roehampton via the N72 would be a welcome relief for the 220.
