This will open a can of worms even though I think the driver was 100% wrong if he actually said that.

Well it's neither his bus nor his rules and if this is correct I cannot help but think the two involved were seeking this sort of publicity

The problem here is the "rule book" The transport act and the carriage of passengers regulations state that of you cause offence to other passengers you can be asked to leave the vehicle. I'm not defending the driver his actions were inappropriate but perhaps it offended him on what ever grounds he saw fit. It is wrong in this society. And as with all media hype we will never know the truth.

This is quite a serious incident especially as it has made it into the press, so as forum moderator I will be watching this thread very closely.

Article www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/london-bus-driver-allegedly-kicks-gay-couple-off-for-kissing-9805597.htmlThough I'm not one for public displays of affection, whether homosexual OR heterosexual (something about romance that just repulses me and bores me to death! ), that's no way to speak to those men, he should have done so in a much more polite manner! Would the driver have said the same thing if it was a man or a woman kissing? If not, nada sympathy for the driver, that's all I'm going to say. What makes a 'real man' anyway? I'm interested to hear both sides of the story, though.

Bad publicity and if true , a very hard thing to defend. However the drivers version is not made public. Evening standard recently published the harrowing tale of a woman who fell asleep drunk on a train and slept for a night in the sidings. Maybe audio will be the next thing installed in drivers cabs ??

Must admit, in all my years of dealing with people, working the door, cabbing and bus driving, ive never had a problem with gay men. I think there is more to this, maybe a passenger complained about them and the driver told them to stop and it escalated from there.

I'd rather have a bus full of kissing gay men than some of the complete idiots who disrupt the service because of various issues.
