Hi All,
I am keen to go to Heathrow Central bus station and the surrounding area to photograph buses and was wondering you are allowed to do so or do you get told to leave by either police or security?
What sort of experience have others had photographing buses at Heathrow?

Andy I've photographed buses at Heathrow Central Bus Station and the Terminal 5 area and had no issues - this was about 5 years ago though. |

I've only taken a few shots at Heathrow T123 while waiting for a bus. No one said anything. Other people manage to regularly take shots without issue.
I did take some at Terminal 5 about a year ago. No one said anything to me. I've also take shots at Hatton Cross a few times and again without incident despite police vehicles trundling past on routine patrol. The security situation has tightened up since then but if challenged the only thing to do is tell the truth. They can only ask you to stop. Airports have people with cameras hanging around them all the time because people like to snap planes so the police are used to seeing them.

Andy I wouldn't think you'd have a problem, I've photographed aircraft without a problem, I even got a friendly wave from a passing police vehicle. |

Andy I wouldn't think you'd have a problem, I've photographed aircraft without a problem, I even got a friendly wave from a passing police vehicle. I've heard it said that to the Police, plane spotters are an extra pair of eyes for them.  |
