Loks great! I looked at a few other pics, I can see Wright's 'Nu Vibe' being passed off as a 'new' Streetlite in a few months' time to fit in with the family face of it's big sister Even the MetroDecker looks nice, save for the commode-shaped rear window at the back

I quite like it. Not as pretty as the current Enviro 200 but better design execution than the Enviro 400 MMC.
I don't know if it is the colour as well but the chunky design makes it look less like a midi-bus and more like a full size single decker. I don't know why they didn't make the black strip at the front symmetrical (where the driver's side wiper is mounted). I think it'd look a lot better lot better if the design was the same on both sides. Unless they are trying to remind us of the MCW Metrobus!
Shame ADL didn't do more with the interior. It looks pretty much the same as in a facelifted Enviro 200 save for the rear window which now curves over the top.
I'll eat my words. The Wrights Streetdeck looks better in the flesh than those early production photos. Particularly in Arriva Sapphire colours. Not the prettiest double deck design - that goes to Optare - but not as bad as I initially thought.

Nope totally disagree with you the Streetdeck is even worse in the flesh has got to be the ugliest design ever to come from Wright's. The front just looks swollen like someone has given it a fat lip. quite like the new E200 but will have to wait until I have been on one in service before I give my final verdict.

The (2013) Gemini 3 looks alot better, the front windows and light clusters on the (2014) Streetdeck/Gemini 3 doesn't go with the rest of the design.
I will however wait until I see these vehicles in the metal/aluminium/plastic etc before giving a final vote though.
As when I initially saw the rear of the (2013) Gemini 3 I hated it, now I like it.
As for the E200, I want to see it in another colour and also not sure about that curved glass at the top at the back yet, again will have to see it in RL.

This new design looks horrid and looks like a failed attempt for the dark side to redesign one of their starships...

It just looks like the tried to copy the E500 and sort of mix it with the streetlite. It doesn't look wright.

Lol, just me then. A lone voice of praise in the wilderness! I agree it is ugly but having seen it now from several angles it is less ugly than I thought! The new Enviro 200 design looks like something a mainland Europe bus manufacturer such as VDL or Solaris bus may have designed. I would have thought there would be more obvious styling cues from the E400 MMC. The current E200 looks like the E400 with the top deck lopped off. The new E200 looks significantly different to the E400MMC. I don't like the metal plating surrounding the fuel and Adblue filler caps. It has a utilitarian appearance which jars with the rest of the sleek design. If they do keep it, they should paint it in the body colour.

It doesn't look bad at all, I quite like the design of the front. It looks more robust than the predecessor. It's a bit too square at this short length though so I think at least 10.2 metres and longer would do it justice, and this colour is hideous so I'm sure it would look great in Red . Now to see if its performance matches my favourite MAN MCV!

I'm one of the few people who hates the original Enviro 200 with a passion for a number of reasons but for me, they seem to be using some of the classic styling from the excellent Plaxton Pointer series and that makes me begin to really like it. I also like the sound of an Enviro 200 on Euro VI and if it is built like the Enviro 400 MMC, then we may have a rattle free Enviro 200 for once.

Then again the E200 is generally over 1000kgs lighter so who knows

Perhaps it's the MAN chassis that gives them a full size SD feel, or is there a particular reason for this?

As to why they have more power I have no idea, as MAN also had/have? a 4.6 ltr engine with 177bhp. What I do know is that 6.9 ltr engine is a truck engine and it is definately the solid MAN chassis that gives it that full SD feel. The man chassis is excellent when you get off a ADL E200 and step onto a MAN you notice the solidness straight away or vice versa just a shame that there isn't alot of MAN buses around London, my favourite ones are the Metrobus E200s not only because they are rare but I prefer the sound they make compared to MCV versions.
