Piccadilly Line train (front carriage 183)'s lights were out for a while ! Pitch black in the tunnel, of course. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!! Used to get that a lot back in the days of guards, they were instructed to turn saloon lights off on surface sections during daylight hours & sometimes forgot to turn them on before the tunnel section.

Similarly on the Met line that I remember from childhood.

While approaching Stanmore (on a 96TS obvs), I heard/saw the elusive "Thank your for travelling on the Jubilee Line" announcement!

Not so much a tube, ob but one of someone inside of it. Just got off the Jubilee Line just as I am about to get off, I noticed Assembly Member Boff in my carriage. Did not realise this was a line he used. Would of enjoyed having a conversation on the train with him on my commute today (not sure if he'd feel the same) a few topic I'd like to highlight come to mind... Attachment Deleted

On the Jubilee line today I noticed the passenger information displays had been changed. These were orange coloured LED matrix displays, similar to the iBus ones, as opposed to the usual red. Being a dumb dumb I neglected to notice the car or trainset number.

Being a dumb dumb I neglected to notice the car or trainset number. There are a few new carriages (from 2006ish) bought for the 7 car extension programme. These are the ones that have the yellow LED screens, rather than the red LEDs if the originals.

Noticed the announcements on the Northern Line has changed.
Previously: "This train terminates at Modern" "This is London Bridge change here for Jubilee Line and Main Suburban Rail services"
Today: "This is a Northern Line train to Modern" "This is London Bridge change here for Jubilee Line and National Rail services. Alight here for River boat service from City Pier"
If this is a permanent change then I will miss the "Main Suburban Rail service" line especially at King's Cross St Pancras where it gets extra long!
I had left the train by this point so the phrasing could be slightly different for this section of text.

It seems to be a gradual rollout as the train I rode today (Carriage 51596) still had the old style announcements.

Also while at each station the LED texts starts to show the name of the next station. I haven't even realise the changes till the other day as i usually wear my headphones whilst on the underground. Was on the Jubilee Line yesterday on the outside section (Canning Town) and almost wish i had videoed the train as it departed the platform (wheels spinning a few times on pullaway during the heavy rain). All the LU trains do but it sounds more fun hearing the Jubilee stock.

I caught the Northern Line today and I noticed at Moorgate that when the train reaches the short platform there is no longer a warning throughout the train as previous for example, "Upon arrival the first set of doors will not open customers in the first carriage please move towards the rear doors to leave the train" also no onboard 'Mind the Gap" announcements. In addition, I feel that this would of been a good opportunity to introduce the "Doors will open on the ... side" announcement. Overall I think it is good the train announcements have been updated but I will definitely miss "Main Line Suburban rail services" announcements, coming into Kings Cross was just not the same

I think this because the S Stock at Barking says "for mobility impaired life access, face the front of the train and use the doors on the left" suggesting that people are likely to get confused about which left and right the announcer is talking about. Just an idea from my part though.

The weird thing is that for years, the Victoria Line is the only line with those announcements - even the 67 stock had the same announcements so it does perplex me why it's not rolled out on other lines.
