Lambeth Council have published a consultant's report on the potential to improve existing stations on the Overground route and to add stops on the Highbury - C Junction service at Brixton or Loughborough Junction. Report linkNo easy answers unfortunately but clearly a lot of potential. We need a policy shift to find the money to construct these sorts of beneficial schemes. Credit to London Reconnections blog for digging out the report link.

What was the initial reason for bypassing the stops - was it just on cost grounds?

What was the initial reason for bypassing the stops - was it just on cost grounds? Yep - it was deemed too expensive to build new stations on a high level line.
