Now that the 699/692 will move to Sullivan buses in November, and that the 616 is is coming up for re-tendering (and will almost certainly go elsewhere), what will be the fate of the PVNs? Are they going to the bus garage in the sky, going to Go-Ahead's other UK operations, or clinging on to the high life in London?

I doubt they'd be scrapped being DDA complient - I reckon they may be sold outside of the Go-Ahead group personally. It's a shame as they are nice buses just like the First VN's & VNL's that used to be in London.

Actually, the PVN capacity is higher, the seats are designed differently, many of the original First features differ and the size is different.

They won't stay with GAL as they are non standard, that's why the BE ones were sold to Ensign

But then again, it depends on the garage (ahem BE).

But then again, it depends on the garage (ahem BE). The PVLs at NX, PM, Q & BX are still going strong and in better condition than Early B9TL WVLs. The WVNs at NP look appalling. The PVLs that were at BE/SI were based elsewhere long before that and well looked after as well as the V LGC batch at BX.

The W reg, mechanical wise, were always very good and put some newer buses to shame. Even the last one or two elder PVL's left in London put some younger vehicles to shame.

Re uniqueness, I don't think they're any different to the VLPs in service with Sovereign. Actually, the PVN capacity is higher, the seats are designed differently, many of the original First features differ and the size is different. I suppose anything can be called unique if you put in enough qualifiers of varying subtlety/significance.
