Please vote in the poll, then post your reasons in the thread below. No uncontrolled ranting about any buses

The streetlite is the only one i have seen. But it ticks all the boxes. Lite all the way.

Easy for me too - the Wrightbus Streetlite. Personally, I like the way it looks though looks are very opinionated so I won't judge anyone who doesn't like it. From a passenger point of view, they are comfortable, surprisingly spacious despite having more seats than the Enviro 200 and the ride is excellent. From an enthusiastic point of view, they rattle far less than an Enviro 200 and with the majority on Voith, they sound nice too.
I will admit, from what I've seen of the Enviro 200 MMC, it looks a hell of a lot better than the original and if it has the same rattle free technology as the Enviro 400 MMC, then it will push my liking of the Streetlite close.

Will we be getting any 200MMC's? One of my local routes is streetlites and are head and shoulders above adl's offerings to date.

I believe the 163 and 164 are due for renewal this year, which could lead to double and/or single deck MMC orders.

I prefer the exterior styling of the Enviro 200 MMC.
I don't like the styling of the Streetlite. Side on it looks very over-bodied making the wheels appear tiny in comparison. Not convinced by the sloping up window line towards the back making the rear most window quite small. Also not keen on the heavily curved interior cove panels - it makes the interior feel claustrophobic and gives the impression that you are riding on a tube train. On the GAL 219 buses the compressor, I think, is quite loud tick-ticking away in the cabin - it is quite noticeable near the rear doors.
On the positive side it doesn't rattle as much as the current gen-Enviro 200 and the ride is better damped. The interior led lamps are diffused and positioned better such that you aren't blinded by their brightness.

I've yet to ride on a Streetlite, the only ones near me are Tower Transit's (Impact) University of West London shuttle between Brentford and Northfields... though I will deffo take a ride on the new ones that will be on the 444

Agreed, Streetlites are comfortable and spacious as a passenger, though by the sounds of it from an operational point of view they leave a lot to be desired. They're not massively powerful (this becomes evident on a fast route like the 480/490 around Gravesend, where the Darts and full-sized single decks tended to outperform the current Streetlites). Also have heard that two of the WSs for the 192 have had to be sent back to NI for new gearboxes, and I've heard other complaints about their reliability in other places. If the improved reliability of Enviro200s can be combined with the improved ride quality of the Streetlite in the new MMCs then operators should be onto a winner.

I have long thought the engines in the Streetlite are a bit on the weedy side (just a 4 pot Cummins, starting from just 160bhp), and wondered how the Streetlite Max ever coped unless there was an option for a 6 cylinder unit. Especially when outside of London where most roads are National Speed Limit. It will be interesting seeing how the more powerful Daimler ones do on the 444 I still love that Voith though

The E200MMC gets my vote, because Alexander Dennis always produce the best single decks IMO. The current Enviro 200's are the best, as i usually get them when I'm on the 434. Im sure though the MMC is even better
