CN was an excellent garage - the DW's, DWS & DWL's were all well looked after along with the PDL's when the 289 was there - only the ex ADL's from North East London were knackered. CN was also quite strict in keeping the 53 reg DW's to the 264 and the 54 reg to the 403 whilst the 455 was nearly always DWL's. The DWS & ADL were practically route bound to the 410 though the odd DWS did go out on the 455.

I remember the old Stratford (SD) which closed in 2008, I visited it on the open day. The depot was pretty dreary, just a shed with a bus wash and parking around it. It was also my first journey on a Titan, some 30 years afrer launch! I can also rember Upton Park which stopped running TfL buses in October 2011, but during the Olympics it was where Stagecoach Events was based.
I went through the old King's Cross garage on my first visit to HT on an open RM if I recall correctly.
There were plans to move AV but these were ultimately shelved.

I remember the short lived AA (Colliers Wood) depot from the late 80s. It was then an outstation of A's Suttonbus network and had housed double deck routes 152, 163 and 200. The depot (basically a piece of land) was walking distance from AL, who maintained the buses on behalf of A.

I remember the original WH garage as it was close to my secondary school. It used to run my local bus route 241 using Leyland Nationals / Titans. I also remember the 8 used to run to WH on a Sunday from Bow Church to Stratford then via Plaistow Station to WH using Titans. When the garage was knocked down a housing estate was built and a road named Routemaster Close

I can remember Walthamstow Garage - now housing although the access road is called Omnibus Close. The old Tramways Office building has been retained and is also housing now.
My main memory of WW was that the 123 service was effectively split in half at the Bell because of the garage location. If you picked the wrong time of day it was often a long wait to get across the Bell on a through bus as so many buses started or finished there. There are some old schedules on the Timetable Graveyard site which show the scheduled gaps in service.

I wasn't old enough to remember AK (Streatham) but I certainly remember what it turned into - a Go Kart Track before being bulldozed as part of the new Streatham Tesco & Ice Rink project.

I remember Clapham (CA) when it was full of RTLs from the start, found out later the whole roof was supported by a single pillar in the middle. After the bus strike in the 50's it was closed. The became the transport museum. Closed again then become AK & N when the 'home' sites were being rebuilt. Now its a supermarket.

I take it that Sainsbury's on Clapham High Street was where CA used to be? Like AK, it's before my time lol.
