I remember the short lived AA (Colliers Wood) depot from the late 80s. It was then an outstation of A's Suttonbus network and had housed double deck routes 152, 163 and 200. The depot (basically a piece of land) was walking distance from AL, who maintained the buses on behalf of A. It was given the code AA because it was an Annex of Sutton

AE was Hendon LT garage and X was Middle Row LT garage these were the original garages from LT days allocation codes have been reused so the AE & X you mention are not the garages being mentioned another example is CT this was the original H garage

Hanwell (HL) garage - now a Lidl, and Acton Tram Depot (AT), now posh flats were near me in West London and when I moved to Hackney, Waterden Way (WA) housed the bendies which were on the 25 - the garage made way for the Olympic Park You forgot Southall Garage, (opposite Ealing Hospital) now a carpet warehouse I do vaguely remember that... and there used to be RMs on the 207 before those new fangled Metrobuses took over

Yes and no, some garages were resited so could say old one closed, eg X the current one under the Westway replaced another garage. In my area, now nothing in Kingston. NB Norbiton is now a Wickes and Kingston was demolished and replaced by Rotunda film, eating, bowling complex. Tolworth was a partial replacement. In next few weeks the dial a ride site at North Kingston also closes (becoming Kingston Academy) its moving to a site near where railway crosses the Kingston - New Maldon road (dont know its new name)

Other closed garages AE AM AP AW B (BA BB) CF D FY GM J K L M MH NB PR RD SE X There's also GB (Victoria basement) which was based within and directly under GM. Single decker drivers would enter GM and keep to the left to drive down the entrance ramp into the 'basement depot'.There was a separate up ramp for exit back up level to GM before leaving the main exit. The two depots closed in stages, about six months apart. The final closure was on the same day that the 'original' Peckham Garage closed (PM operations downsized and moved to its present location).

Not forgetting R-Riverside on the Hammersmith gyratory. As has been posted some garages have been obliterated e.g. GM, M CF PR, others can still be seen in some shape or form CN Carshalton, where RF/RT rallies have been held, and although it was a trolleybus depot IH the last time I drove past it still resembled its prior use.

I knew about the old V (Turnham Green) (which is now a Sainsbury's), the old R (Hammersmith-Riverside) (which is now a shopping centre) and the old M (Mortlake) (which is now housing and a bus stand). Chiswick Works became Chiswick Business Park, and it's fitting that public buses actually serve the site now (with the 27 based at V (Stamford Brook)). Except for the former R with the garage frontage) and the fact Mortlake Avondale Road is a bus stand, there is no visible thing that shows it used to be related to London Transport.
I use the Sainsbury's at Chiswick regularly, and use Chiswick Business Park as part of a cut-through walking path to Acton Town when the District line messes up, and I have seen no sign of the former heritage. The northern bridge under the Picc/Dist to Chiswick Business Park has clearance for a double decker (surely) as a northern entrance to Chiswick Works (I assume).
In more recent times, I remember ECT ran the 195 from Greenford Garage. I remember using the 195 to go to school with ECT, and I have always found it puzzling as to why it ended up with First Centrewest under a temporary contract. I never knew why, my only thought is that ECT just wanted to pull out of TfL tendered work for some reason.

Your thinking of the other 207A which was Hayes to Chelsea. The Uxbridge to Charville Lane Estate circular 207A was only M operated until the new U7 route replaced it.

Don't know what happened to the original one may off got rebuilt or moved but it was located opposite Beckenham Cemetery and closed in the late 80's but that was the second/rebuilt one.
