T3 on the 250 with front destination on white blank Actually quite concerning as the number of buses on the 250 displaying white blank has increased quite a lot recently

This was a similar thing when the 133 was diverted from Streatham, St Leonard’s Church. The “St Leonard’s Church” was eventually taped over with duct tape as was such a long wind to “Streatham”

Blinds are there for a reason, to show the destination, not a solid colour

Blinds are there for a reason, to show the destination, not a solid colour I agree, it is not acceptable to show blank even if manual blinds are no longer recognised, no one likes long winding. DW334, DW423, DW424, T36, T37 with 2018 manual blinds I’ve experienced this as these blinds are an exact copy of the 2018 smart blinds so everything is far apart apart from the 99 & 160s destinations. Longest gaps 7 Bexleyheath, Shopping Centre, 28 Bromley North, 16 Sidcup Station & 36 Bluewater. However if a mystery traveler gets on that will get marked down and also if a TFL official sees that.

You produce badly designed blinds that are unusable, this is what you get.

Well drivers managed fine for what 50 or more years changing blinds so yes Smart Blinds have made drivers lazy unless the mechanism have broken or become stiff! Despite the many faults of Arriva they managed fine with manual blind changes at DX where the whole fleet is manual blinds.

You produce badly designed blinds that are unusable, this is what you get. However the current blinds at TH were designed so that the destination points for the main terminus are close together. The 250 curtailment to West Croydon came later obviously out of their control the curtailment of the route. Example the Manual 2020 DT blinds have the main destinations between 1-12 and 13 Not In Service. 14 onwards is unofficial curtailment points. The 2019 & 2020 Smart blinds are the same with (335 2019 Only 1-16 and 17 Not In Service, 2020 1-14 and 15 Not In Service) & 370 added on.

Maybe Arriva should have negotiated the cost of replacement blinds into the costs when agreeing to the variation of contract, if the existing ones are unsuitable. If they did, and did not order them ...

If they did, and did not order them ... Why would they need to replace the blinds when “West Croydon” is already on the blinds so they are suitable... There is no way TFL would negotiate that, if Arriva had started to use Smart blinds from 2008 when most firms had started using them then problem solved one button to change the blind... N250 wasn’t on the blinds so I imagine the N250 add on was at the expense of TFL.

If they were, there would not be so much evidence of white blank. So please explain how the blinds being suitable correlates to the number of incidents of white blinds being displayed.
