Cheating a bit as not in service, but just seen a WHD apparently on the "H2" (It was showing a Hydrogen Vehicle display)

The buses for Abellio at Walworth have the trial set for Stagecoach at West Ham programmed into them.

I know a lot of the more recent examples in use seem to be Mobitec as opposed to Hanover.

ADL/BYD buses with LEDs tend to be Hanover. Efforts are being made to confirm who has supplied them.

The size of the number isn't anything to do with the manufacturer of the LEDs at all, its the operator who does that. 29303s display is mobitec and the number has recently been reprogrammed to take up more space.

There needs to be be a TfL standard for LED displays as there is for traditional blinds.
