I don't see what's all the hate with Night Tube (look at all the comments) it will allow many more businesses to open to late give people better options travelling home quick journeys and will definently will help the country internationally complete with New York and strenghten the economy and I think in the long term will be successful, I understand that the regular commuter won't get these trains but it's not really approached at them it's mainly for the party goers who usually go on the Night Bus hence on operating on Friday/Saturday and make it of a more 24hr place. However though no hate for the train drivers and unions as they should get what they deserve but however there decisions tend to hold up the consumers which is fustrating and I also understand the costs of it as well and how expensive it is and what will happen to the manitenance.

As usual, the Tube unions snap their fingers and everything they demand is handed to them - the Night Tube will boost the nighttime economy and is really needs to go end. The fact it's not running in time for New Years Eve will frustrate many.

The fact it's not running in time for New Years Eve will frustrate many. What? The unions haven't been handed anything. There is no agreement and quite rightly given the issues involved. LU has chosen to tie together the night tube rostering changes with the annual pay round which is tactically stupid if you ask me. All that has done is raise the stakes and made agreement much harder. LU has to secure huge efficiency savings to make their budget work and unfortunately the unions know this too. Why on earth should people charged with the public's safety have their working conditions screwed over? They're fortunate that they have the industrial power to make their voice heard - many (bus drivers included) don't. I am not convinced the Night Tube is as "needed" as LU and the Mayor think. Yes bright young things who want to party til 0330 in the morning might find it handy but the average person is unlikely to use it ever. Remember that it was launched as a distraction tactic to disguise the unwarranted destruction of ticket offices - a project that is costing £132m!!!!!! It has taken 2 years since the announcement and we are no closer to the Night Tube starting. That's what happens when you spring a policy change without consultation. I'm sure somewhere thought it was a good idea at the time but it's simply become a running sore now. There is nothing to suggest there will not be a 24 hour service on New Years Eve - that's a separate aspect that was worked perfectly well for the last umpteen years with no industrial action associated with it (if memory serves).

Equally the average person is unlikely to use nightbuses, I think a 24 hour tube (at least on Fri/Sat nights) has been long overdue and I don't think unions are going to get a great deal of sympathy from passengers

I wonder London will ever get the Night Tube? I wonder what will happen to all people that TFL have just recruited and are still recruiting people for the Night Tube? Will they be let go or will they be kept on and do other shifts like example day shift or evening shifts. Hammersmith Station has just recruited whole heap of people as CSAs for the Night Tube. What will happen to them.

WVL465 still has an advert proclaiming that the Night Tube will begin on 12th September - so I guess we've another year to go then lol.
