Unsure if it was a trial or something but there was an occasion when Bear Buses provided a RRS during a weekend closure I vaguely remember travelling on that service, Bear Buses were one of the subcontractors using Darts. I think it only covered part of the route - perhaps between Streatham and Wimbledon? - with no service (rail or bus) between Wimbledon and Sutton. It seems the 164 is deemed sufficient to cover this section.
The line through Hackbridge does get a replacement service when it's closed.
Yeah, think it was between Streatham & Wimbledon. From Streatham to Tooting via Mitcham Lane, Southcroft Road & London Road. Then it went via Longley Road (first time Longley Road had a bus service potentially?) towards Haydons Road Made a Google Photo's Album as I took a few pictures on the day photos.app.goo.gl/CYksJpCpLrGwMCNV7

GTR have begun an £55m interior refurbishment on the fleet of Electrostars. I believe all 377's, including the 377/6's and 377/7's are being treated (as the 387s are being done). The work will include adding plug and USB sockets at every seat, a new real time PIS system (I assume this would be KeTech screens or similar which have been a popular addition to other TOC's fleets, such as the TPE Class 185's), new LED lighting and passenger counting equipment. The work is being carried out in house at Selhurst and the first unit is expected to be in service later this autumn. Great to see the Class 377's, particularly the older ones finally being modernised internally! www.railwaygazette.com/uk/gtr-launches-55m-electrostar-refurbishment/57369.article

Has the Ashford-Cambridge service been postponed indefinitely then? In January Network Rail summited its planning application to Ashford borough council for the new depot which could lead to construction starting sometime this year or early 2021, another pushback which will arise will be driver training which would take anywhere between 12-18 months especially during Covid, I can see services starting earliest May 22, another option could be if SE have enough spare drivers they could again step in and help TL to start services earlier in Dec 21 ? At the moment TL have a small number of drivers based at Ashford but they are covering Orpington/Sevenoaks services

We were hoping TL services between Welwyn and Sevenoaks would begin in December, however due to the issues surrounding Covid, this is now expected to begin in May 21, with the current Kings Cross to Cambridge Thameslink services being extended through the core towards Maidstone either in December 21 or May 22. I'm pretty sure the Ashford services are a peak extension only?

Cambridge are split into two links Brighton Link and Maidstone. Route Learning has yet to be agreed for Welwyn & Hornsey to sign SEVENOAKS & THREE BRIDGES respectively.

Quick question does anyone know what stations thameslink will call at when it goes to Ashford and whether it will use the thameslink platforms at London Bridge?

And it’s just not the central section like it was the last time it was on the tube map 20+ years ago, it shows the whole Thameslink network inside Greater London
