I think that the 452 should have been extended but not to Vauxhall. I think it would benefit more to be extended further south rather than mimick the 52 somewhat. Also the 87 and 77 supply a sufficient service along Wandsworth road so there isn't a need to extend the 452.
As for the 436, i don't think it's smart to withdraw it from Paddington, especially to a relatively small part of London (no offence to any battersea park residents) I think that they should withdraw the 436 and extend the 36 to lewisham with its proposed frequency and then a smaller route could run from battersea park to South East London.

Didn't someone in the forum mention about thee 452 if so good shout and I think it will be nice to see the threads merged also? I don't really think the 436 is a good idea and too me seems so controversial that it won't go through, I understand that the 36 will have a higher frequency but I don't think that's a good scenairo, also another South London bus route taken away with Paddington (just wondering why there poor links to the south from there compared to other major stations) also Lewisham West End link being taken away plus tfl are trying to drive people to catch tube, I understand that it's quicker and has more capacity plus more frequent, but it gets packed easily, maybe a longer route then needed from those from Lewisham. Good to see that the 452 will know terminate somewhere with actual use would like to see the 50 get extended but reliabilty and length won't make it possible. Also would be nice to see the 436 extended to Clapham be it Junction or Common/Old Town from there.

Incidentially, what are these other travel options everyone's started using from Vauxhall to Paddington according to the consultation? Is this a coded cycling reference?

If another link to Battersea Park was needed from Vauxhall, surely it would make more sense to divert the 185 there. That's a good point. But then New Cross and Peckham would lose a direct link to Battersea.

Also would be nice to see the 436 extended to Clapham be it Junction or Common/Old Town from there. There was no specific thread made on the 452 extension. M1104 has mentioned in the Abellio thread that this extension would be happening. I think these proposals are just about as controversial as the Abbey Road and Finchley Road bus changes. I agree with your point on the 36 frequency. Just because the frequency is improved doesn't mean every thing is hunky-dory for the passengers. I think your idea to extend the 50 is way more sensible than the 452 extension. I don't think the 436 will go to Clapham junction because it defeats the (suggested) purpose of the diversion.

However I don't agree that the 185 should of been diverted to Battersea Park, only because I think more links would be broken from this route than with the 436. In the response to issues raised if there were mentions of an extension of the 185 to Paddington (whilst it's not a direct replacement of the 436) it would be very interesting to see how TfL responds to that.

12-15bph between Paddington and Queens Park seems like oversupply and a poor use of resources. Will the full service run through?

That's exactly what I thought, the Queens Park end is probably slightly over bussed at the moment, it certainly doesn't need anymore buses whilst the busy part of the route gets less buses. You couldn't make this up!

Plus Lewisham looses it's only west end link as the furthest to c London will be Vauxhall on the 436 and Victoria on the 185 which is very in direct.

I think the 436 proposal is even more ridiculous than the Finchley Road proposal, and that's saying something. If they think the link between Battersea Park and Lewisham is important, why not just introduce a new route entirely? The 436 is a pretty key route in Central London and the 36s will definitely be feeling the pressure if this goes ahead (and I'm praying it doesn't) - the frequency of 4 minutes will be less than the combined frequency of the 36 and 436 at present. Factor in that the 36 doesn't go to Lewisham either. So yeah. Utter shite.

I don't personally think the 436 needs to shadow the 36 all the way to Paddington - I think it could take a different route into Central London - but I mean Central London, not Battersea Park. Swap it with the 2 north of Marble Arch or something. As already suggested I think a diverted 185 would be a better option or even route C3 re-routed at York Road to continue along Battersea Park Road and Nine Elms Lane into Vauxhall.
The 452 extension, however, is what I always thought it should have done from when it was invented. I do not peak travel along the corridor very often but in my experience (including driving and managing the routes, albeit a few years ago) the 77 and 87 struggle with loadings along Wandsworth Road especially in the mornings. I have witnessed people unable to board full buses with good services operating.

Let's say there is a big issue with the 77 & 87 (personally, I don't think the issue is that bad as I've travelled along myself during peak times on occasions and noticed it not to be too bad) - I do not see the 452 being much help to either route as from all my time travelling along Wandsworth Road, the bulk of passengers seem to be moving between Clapham Junction & Vauxhall. What I can see happening is any potential problem just being pushed further down the route because the 452 does not serve Lavender Hill or Clapham Junction. ''moz' had an idea of extending the 337 to Vauxhall which personally would be more of a help leaving the 452 to be extended along Union Road to open new links up.

I'm pretty sure passengers of routes 77/87 between Queenstown Road and Lansdowne Way will be pretty overjoyed at additional capacity to and from Vauxhall. The 337 to Vauxhall would also resolve the problem, although I do not think there is a particular issue in Lavender Hill, where buses have cleared out in Clapham Junction and the 156 also adds capacity to Vauxhall. The stops that struggle most on Wandsworth Road, AM towards town, are Union Road and Binfield Road. PM towards Wandsworth Road it is Vauxhall that struggles. If a bus is really needed along Union Road, then maybe a slight diversion of the 196?

If they really want another route between Battersea Park and Vauxhall. Why not just reroute the 452 between there instead of it serving Queenstown Road and Wandsworth Road? From what I've seen the 452 is usually dead between BP and WR.
I would leave the 436 as it is.
If they want support for the 87 and 77, extend the C3 to Vauxhall.
Extend the 417 from Clapham Common to Clapham Junction via 345 or 35/37 (whatever need is greater)! Would provide lots of new links to the junction.
