The 485 seemed to be quite popular with the Putney Heath area. The 424 appeared to split evenly - on the red and green - in Wandsworth Quarter but the 485 changes were generally opposed by that same area. I know Petitions are a different way of a public engagement but The tone of the response to issues raised is quite different to that of other proposals that have not gone ahead (see the 463, the 25 and H28 consultation). One to watch. Evidence of this comes from... Trialling services, passengers modelling, area analysis... Would be nice if statements were made with some kind of evidence or elaboration . Quite a fair few have said "Not adequately advertised among local bus using population" scrolling ibus information

Well yes and no. Clearly the base rerouting ideas were not sensible. However I am really puzzled that *nothing* is being done. It almost feels like TfL have thrown a childish strop and gone "so you don't like our ideas, well s*d you then, we're taking away the money, wah wah wah". There are some simple things that can be done which have been rejected out of hand. Wandsworth Council have said they have money from the Riverside developer for transport improvements which will now sit unspent in Wandsworth's coffers. The idea of Sunday services are dismissed as being unnecessary which I just find incredible in Zone 2 and densely populated (and growing) areas. It's telling that Sainsburys at Sands End spent their own money on some limited research about bus access / use by locals and their staff. Surely there is merit in giving Sunday access to the store and Putney High Street? I suspect locals will view all this as a mixed blessing given the refusal of TfL to implement any improvements no matter how minor.
