One of my early memories of garage journeys was the 8 running to the old WH garage on Sundays via Plaistow high street. Also the 147 extending from Ilford to Seven Kings garage. I think the full service on the 8 went to WH on Sunday....... I remember the blind Stratford & West Ham Garage.

Think you went on busesatwork to try and make a point as if you had looked closely the image text clearly states garage jorney. I'm pretty sure it was only garage jorneys as I have lived in east London all my life. Keep picking at my posts you will get bored before me.

It would be interesting to see how 'livening up' some of the garage journeys that run today would work.... plenty of routes run dead to their garages throughout the day for meal reliefs & duties start/finish.
Arriva (TC) - 194 and 264 run dead from West Croydon Arriva (TH) - 255 runs dead from Pollards Hill. Metroline (PB) 134 runs dead from Finchley, W8 from Enfield, on Sunday's 231, 234, 317, 382, 384, 491 all run dead from their northern termini too.
Many more examples too

You can add the 362 and soon 173 to that list dead running via the EL3 as well. You might be able to throw the 115 one in to RR too via the 173 which could be an interesting one.

Could have lots of garage journeys towards WH from Stratford via Plaistow, Hermit Road and Canning Town.

The 101 used to have some live garage journeys operating to Upton Park Boleyn via Barking Road.

I remember the majority of 15s running to Boleyn/Priory Road even when the 15B used to run to East Ham during the daytime for Garage Changeovers this is when it used to run between Canning Town and Paddington during the daytime late 90s , early 00s .

I’m not a fan of garage journeys that provide a unique extension from the usual terminus to the garage as this isn’t practical/predictable at a regular frequency for passengers. I’m all for garage extensions that duplicate an existing route offering additional capacity. One example would be one of my favourite garage run, the 92 to and from Hanwell Broadway (better interchange to the 83 or 207, due to the common stops served). For younger members, Hanwell Bus Garage was located were the Lidl retail centre is now. As an enthusiast, my favourite garage run was the E1 to Alperton via Greenford Road, the A40 and Ealing Road. These were scheduled journeys to and from the garage during the day and provided a handy but not really used direct link through Greenford to Ealing Broadway.
