I am only going to say one thing today - well done in getting these trains into service. I may (I believe correctly) passed much criticism over the delayed entry into service of these trains, but I am sure many people have worked extremely hard to make this possible and I thank them. Today is the day to celebrate these trains coming into service. I'm probably on my own here but I wouldn't celebrate the fact it took so many mishaps and delays before they finally started entering service - I think the word relief might be a better one because passengers have still had a raw deal and the staff on the line have had to cop the flak rather than those whose fault it was. But I do agree with you that those on the ground have worked tirelessly despite the issues and I certainly won't be heaping any praise towards those further up the chain of command

Hopefully without jinxing anything it looks like the 710s have performed decently today. Not seen any reports of delays or serious issues on social media. All the realtimetrains data for passenger trips on the GOBLIN have been pretty much spot on for the day with no demonstrable delays in the PM peak. Tomorrow will be their first encounter with the AM peak which is a tougher test but I imagine the line's users will just be pleased to have some extra trains running. At two stations Blackhorse Road (on the Eastbound) and Leyton Midland road (on the westbound) the driver made two attempts to stop at the stopping Mark that would be expected on day one and one of the units had the rear doors in the last carriage cut out due to a fault

Good they are finally making it to service but what were they thinking putting orange and green together? Those colours do not match, it doesn't look good at all in my opinion. Nothing wrong with that kind of colour, worked well in the Leyland Titan...

Yes because it didn't have green in it 1980's LT interior is my favourite interior and was lovely to see on a cold, dark morning when boarding the 2 to school on a L class Olympian

I have travelled on this train and it’s very fast and a comfortable ride, except it’s very cold!

The amount of faffle involved at getting a train on the rails in passengers service is a joke. You would think it was a matter of commissioning the next space shuttle to go onto Pluto. And of course there are *never* any problems with getting new bus designs into passenger service (cough TA1 tri-axle cough) are there? That is nothing on the scale to these trains. TA1 is actually been used in service. Problem with that bus is the Vantage hybrid system is unreliable, on paper/laboratory it seems good, on the road it is a disaster.

Not the best time of day for something like this to happen, I wonder if it was a 378 or a 710 Judging by the train ID it was a 710. They did manage to get it out of the G Oak bay and off to Willesden. They also ran an unscheduled last train to Barking and kept the last w/b in service too so while not brilliant they have tried to mop up any late night passengers. A 710 has been a bit wobbly all day looking at the stats with several journeys with late departures and late running. Not exactly unexpected and I dare say plenty of data for Bombardier to look at.

It was 710 261 it first broke down at Leytonstone High Road on its way to Barking its was stuck there for 13mins the driver managed to fix the problem and broke down again at Gospel Oak.

i’m surprised the 710's have been out today I think this was part of the problem (credit to BusesInLondon ) Why are you surprised the 710s were out on Sunday? Do you know the cause of the fault? Was it safety critical and demanded the entire fleet be withdrawn because the doors failed and train needed fitters attention? Chances are the answers to most of those questions are no, so they can keep running thank you, I’ve tolerated a half hourly service for quite long enough, they need to be running in service to find these things and fix them. It’s no different to new bus failing in service, do we demand the grounding of the fleet?

Having been keeping an eye on real time trains for the last few days it seems the 710s and / or their drivers are having wobbles. Several instances of late running with 710s plus a very delayed start up this morning due to train crew issues. One train was over 20 mins this afternoon and was reversed at S Tottenham to get the service back on time.
A 710 AC only unit has also been to Fenchurch Street via Stratford. This is a second working into F St. It was supposed to go to Enfield Town on reaching Stratford but for some reason it was curtailed and sent back to Willesden. If it had run it would have used the steep curve at S Tottenham up to Seven Sisters.
