Whizzed past a poster at West Ham last night, should've already been in bed for work so didn't fully read it. The strapline 'Ever sailed from Barking to central London' did stick with me though. It's telling by the word sail and not advertising it as a bog standard boat ride, which clientele Uber Boats is hoping to attract. With all honesty, a fare system that's more expensive than typical train Oyster fares would not generally appeal to the normal person in & around Barking. However most of the ivory towers expensive flats luxury appartments are almost built in the town centre, with the Barking Riverside LO extension giving the green light for the 10,000 homes to be fully occupied. Barking will be the next Brixton in no time.

A possible opening before schedule? Well that's interesting. Might combine it with the new Uberboat stop that's popped up there

<tweet snipped to save space> Well that's interesting. Might combine it with the new Uberboat stop that's popped up there The Station and Pier are not connected, there is a short walk between the two. When Barking Riverside opens, at Barking GOBLIN trains will use platform 7 towards Barking Reach and platform 8 towards Gospel Oak. These platforms will be shared with c2c trains to and from the Rainham route. The journey from Barking to Barking Reach will take seven minutes. There is provision for an intermediate station, provisionally known as Castle Green, which will \serve a new development of up to 11,000 dwellings to the north of Barking Riverside.

I know, i wasn't expecting it to an immediate interchange although that would be cool. The prices for the Uberboat is putting me off slightly

What's to become of platform 1 at Barking when the LO uses Platform 7/8 for BR.
