I guess to guarantee getting the R7 you should use Loop Road So just to clarify as I've not been properly following, Gordon Arms is set down only for the R7 at the moment? It's just so I don't end up missing one next weekend lol. I've been picking the odd person up from there. It just so happens that when I've come round there this week there's been no 61s on the stand so the stop is perfectly servable (is that a word? ). To be honest I think most drivers are simply playing it by ear. If you see an R7 emerge from Albany Road wave frantically and it should stop! I'm not filling you with confidence am I? It's a shame our instructions are so vague

Great, that mean i have to go to Loop Road Bus stop or Gordon Arms bus stop to get bus R7? I hope i can leave on time at my work in good enough time to get bus R7 if i miss it then options is i get bus 162 instead! never mind. I hope Council and TfL hurry up and put bus stand paint down near bus stop outside the sainsbury! :-) I guess to guarantee getting the R7 you should use Loop Road When I caught it yesterday I got it from Loop Road just to be certain I'd catch it. Are there any plans to put a few stops down Prince Imperial Road? There's a big gap there.

There's not a great deal down there so stops might be a step too far but I wonder if making it Hail & Ride might work?

Probably repeating this from elsewhere, but the lack of publicity is truly terrible. When will the updated network maps go online at TfL's site?
Much as I hate the spider maps, I can't think of any better source to visualise the changes solely to the network

But unfort, not online yet! I know it is so annoy! TfL so poor with the information with website. I m sorry but not sorry to say that.

TfL website is awash with old info, doesn't seem to be any process to update things, if you go on the buses network facts part, it says they are operating 2 heritage routes. It's only been awaiting update for 2 years 8 months and 2 weeks Prompt updates of info don't appear to be TfLs thing tfl.gov.uk/corporate/about-tfl/what-we-do/buses?intcmp=2587

Just to clarify for everyone asking, a new notice has been posted in the garage which is very clear. Buses should set down outside Sainsbury's (and make use of toilet facilities if required), proceed to the Gordon Arms stand, then depart directly up Green Lane and NOT go back round to pick up at Sainsbury's. The flag at Sainsbury's has 'R7 alighting point only', and the 2 stops on Albany Road have R7 crossed out. So, as mentioned elsewhere, Loop Road is the best bet for anyone looking to catch one. As for the running times, I've found they're just about right going to Chelsfield, but very tight for completing the loop round the lanes and back to Charterhouse Road which makes you late almost every trip getting to Orpington.

You beat me to it mate! I was just about to post that At least we have something concrete now rather than the vague notice posted previously As for the running times I've found I'm almost always two minutes late by the time I come off Hewitts Roundabout but provided I don't get inundated with kids at Warren Road I'm almost always back on time by the time I turn into Charterhouse Road. The only time this hasn't happened was yesterday afternoon when I had 36306 on my second half. A coincidence surely?

Thank you to Paul and @tb141 for clear it up with me. I did ask TfL but they not helpful at all. However due to timetable, what time for bus R7 do leave at same time as sainsbury bus stop or loop Road Bus stop? So I know I can make sure I can get bus in time for head to home in the future.

I had the misfortune of about 600 kids getting on in orpington when I had 36308 the other day and the thing was doing about 5mph flat out going up the hill at the bottom of Charterhouse. 36307 is out there today, will I be the lucky one to have it this afternoon? 😂

Indeed thanks TB141 & Paul for the info - Loop Road it is next week then lol. Too me it makes no sense and is just going to cause additional unnecessary confusion for passengers. There is plenty of room on the stop outside Sainsbury's, so why not have us stop there when it will be the first stop eventually when Bromley council get their finger out their arse and put the stand in? Another driver was telling me that he had a revenue inspector threaten to report him for parking up there. Not sure how this comes under the remit of revenue protection. Some of them seem to think they're the masters of the universe.

I'd stick to the time it says on the timetable. I'm certainly going to be leaving the Gordon Arms stand on my scheduled time and not the time from Sainsbury's. If I did I dread to think how early I'd be at Chislehurst Station!

I wouldn't be surprised if we never get a stand built outside Sainsbury's now
