Arriva reused DLP1-3 very quickly. The first ones were R-reg SB220 single-deckers acquired to top-up the 144; these were replaced by DLAs after a few months, with the new double-deck DLPs entering the fleet almost immediately afterwards. IIRC the double-deckers were originally going to be coded DLN, but as Plaxton had decided to drop the Northern Counties name the DLN code wouldn't have made much sense.
