Extraordinary!
The 108 is going to be a completely different route. I'm glad TfL has caved in on getting the 108 into the Olympic park.
Lose of service for Spindrift Road, sensible sacrifice in my opinion.
Not sure about the 277 routing think it's a bit to much.

Very interesting - I agree with mos of their propasals nice to see the 108 get longer buses and DDs on the D8 monks being made so links to Hackney, Dalston etc. good that the 277 serves Westferry Road plus 135 aswell so the majority of Isle of Dogs however though places like Sprintdrift Av have no bus routes and the Leamouth bit going to a lower frequenced local route however though I don't know the demand, also the 108 will go through Bow Flyover/Roundabout so there'll be a lot of traffic on the route and serving a more residential may lead to even more passengers. Overall though all good. I also find it ironic that there's one person on the new routes thread who said when Stratford City opens the 108 should be moved and it has.

Don't think 12m buses will be able to run on the new 108 routing. I think it's (ironically) 10.8m buses for the 108 then!

A lot of broken stuff there. No more quick 108 across Northern Approach (if okay). Pretty much useless 108. Leamouth looses night link according to this consultation. D3 residents loose direct link to Crossharbour. D7 rendered almost useless. Spindrift Avenue loses direct bus link. 108 loses Stratford Town Hall link. Possibly more..
Personally I'd leave them alone.

Blimey! Has someone put something in TfL's tea, the speed these consultations are coming.
The change to the 108 between Bow and Blackwall is something I'd considered before, although I'd thought of getting as far as Bromley by Bow before diverting via Devas Street and the D8 onwards to Stratford. I know there was a small campaign south of the river to get the 108 diverted to Stratford City.
I've not looked at this in great detail but one thing that concerns me is the inclusion of the 277: there are now two parallel consultations on changes to the 277 which should really reference each other.

It's called an election and getting stuff out of the way before hand so it can all be analysed during the height of the campaign and then explained to the new Mayoral team afterwards. Look at the volume of cycling stuff that emerged today!

I don't think 108 to Stratford City is the best idea, nothing wrong with it serving the much more popular Stratford Regional Bus Station to continue providing links as well as a quick alternative if there is no 425 around.
It's quite amusing TfL seem to praise the 24h aspect of the 277 in this consultation while in the Highbury and Islington Consultation N277 is proposed to run between Angel and Leamouth?

Blimey! Has someone put something in TfL's tea, the speed these consultations are coming. the amount of various consultations running on the TfL site doubled in a week! The consultation page normally has 20 or so consultations to reach 60 is something new. Edit: They don't always seem to do that unless it is pointed out to them/later realised. At little subject to separate consultation note somewhere would be usefulThere is a mention of the Highbury changes near the bottom of the page

A very interesting proposal given here. Some points:
- I can see the 108 bringing more value to us here on the south side of the river as it'll bring us closer to Westfield Shopping Centre. Of course full length buses would still be a great help.
- I quite like how the 135 will now serve Island Gardens station. I will admit the fact that it doesn't right now has caught me out in the past when coming out of Greenwich Foot Tunnel.
- It's interesting to see the 277 rerouted to Crossharbour. But when they say that 170,000 new jobs will be created, will this include jobs in the Billingsgate Market area? Because if it does, replacing the double decker route (277) with a single (D3) may not be the best choice.

Swapping the 108 and D8 terminuses at Stratford makes sense I guess, it's not like the 108 is converting to DD anytime soon. What I don't like it rerouting of the 108 along Langdon Park. The route is busy enough as it is, I don't see how anyone who uses the 108 will benefit from this. The only route in the area linking north to south and TFL are doing everything to make it as indirect as possible (and forcing people to use the Jubilee Line?). Also have doubts about 12m buses making it along the current D8 route...

I think for the new proposal I don't know if D7 is single decker but if it is extend it to Deptford Bridge via Blackwall Tunnel. Or add an other route to the Blackwall Tunnel

But I agree, the Blackwell Tunnel needs another route. Ideally one from North London, terminating at North Greenwich?
