Hi everyone. This vehicle has been acquired by a local coach company for use on rail replacement. I believe it's a DAF of some sort. Can anyone tell me more about its history ?

Spent the last few years at Arriva's BN garage, allocated to the 109, bit would regularly appear on the other BN routes. I remember a few great journeys on it when it appeared on the 50, it could definitely shift quickly when given the chance, despite overrevving. One of my favourite buses!

It was new to TH for the 109 and stayed there until its transferred with the 109 to BN. It would of appeared on the 198, 250, 289 & N159 at TH and the 50, 59, 137, 159 & 319 at BN.

What a handsome bus! Even better to see it has kept traditional roller blinds! vjaska the 689 school route materialised a few years after the 109 and it's DLAs moved to BN

Looks like it will probably be for the Dover - Folkestone replacement which looks like it will be shut for the rest of the year. Those drivers are going to have fun trying to drag that thing up over Capel!

A further two DLAs from Arriva London joined the Bayliss Executive Travel fleet in January..this being DLA334(LG52DCX) & DLA337(LJ03MFX)
Reported that these will be reregistered...DLA334 being V30BAY...DLA337 being V20BAY

The Dover to Folkestone line is expected to remain closed for some time now. Hence why Go-Ahead London (who manage Southeastern's Rail Replacements) have based a fleet of buses in Aylesham and Sittingbourne, ex BX PVL's 367 to 370 as well as some other Commercial PVL's and VC coaches. Due to the size of the operation and other rail work at weekends GAL sub-contract some duties to Bayliss and selected other local operators.
There is also an overnight duty on the Dover/ Folkestone job covered by a commercial driver from NX, usually using E281 or lately WVL272.
