Not gonna lie having seen the number 495 I thought it could be a split of the 495 perhaps or instead of the 95 being extended to Waterside...but it turns out it's taking on part of the E5.
I don't think extending the 95 to Waterside is going to help the route at all, I think it should focus on the problems I see when I use it being congestion and overcrowding. Not local to the area though so don't know.
I don't understand the 427 at all...why would you reroute it away from the busy Uxbridge Road? As I've said with all Crossrail changes (in particular the 25) you should always wait and see how much growth/drop there is on certain routes and paint the picture from there. In no way is Toplocks Estate going to be more popular than destinations like Ealing Broadway. Plus even if the 427 is going to serve Southall then surely it would be better to go down to somewhere like Hounslow and support the 120 through Norwood Green and Heston? TFL have been fairly adamant that demand will decrease on London underground services surrounding Crossrail Stations...surely then by that logic the 120 could potentially have a larger number of journeys to and from Southall instead of Hounslow East/Central?
The 495 makes no sense at all I can't see many cross Southall journeys, certainly not as many as done by the E5. Even if the 495 was a very basic high frequency feeder route into Waterside and say terminated at Southall, Hayes-by-Pass or Ealing Hospital, surely that would then eliminate the need to divert an excessive number of routes away and customers can then change onto other routes? This would eliminate the need for the 95 to be extended.

It is rather vague about what will happen to the H32 as that route is not shown on the maps, but presumably it would stay in its current format and not be diverted to Southall Green Quarter as previously proposed?

I can't say I'm keeping up with progress (or lack of it) on Crossrail these days, but interesting to see 14 May 2022 given as a current opening date in this rather than a vague 'early 2022'.

Presumably that’s what will happen - still think the 95 & 427 changes especially the latter will cause issues, poor 607 wil be even more swamped. Also disappointed there is no re-double decking of the 95, still don’t understand why it was downgraded around 2009 to DML’s

The passenger statistics showing growth/decline per route is a welcome addition to these reports. The 95 has also shown some growth on Mon-Fri over the period shown.

If Tfl wanted a service to link Southall station to the west of Southall, it's probably better to extend the U7 to Southall via 427 to the Broadway and then extend it to the new waterside development, keeping the 427 as it is. Though if this did happen I would like to see the U7 receive a frequency increase and possibly rerouted between Hayes End and Hayes direct via Uxbridge Road, and also withdrawn between Hayes Grapes and Hayes Sainsbury's to give it a more direct service, whilst introducing a link between Southall and Hillingdon Hospital. A new route could replace the withdrawn section of the U7 maybe as far as Hillingdon Hospital. New route U6 would take over the existing U7 between Hayes and Hillingdon Hospital to retain hospital links lost by my proposed rerouting of the U7 Attachment Deleted

Re: the U7 - I don't think a bus route operating every 15 minutes (and presumably less evenings and Sundays) to be an adequate feeder service for Crossrail. Lots of respondents bemoaning the loss of the 427 between Southall and Acton but it is worth noting that demand has been declining on the 207 and 607 (see page 10 of the Study) which suggests there is some slack.

The way I read this, the H32 extension is cancelled. Which I find rather odd, because they don’t want buses terminating in Southall Town Centre. The new development would lose out on a weekend night service as well (if that’s ever put back). The 495 seems a rather more localised service. Perhaps that’s they way forward, but I’m not in favour personally. They have ignored the increase in patronage on the 95,195 and 482. All of which could be improved. Just seems a bit pointless when a suitable plan had already been agreed. I will make a prediction that the 495 won’t happen, and it will be the original plan that actually goes forward.

I don't think a 10% drop in demand justifies removing the 427 though.

The drop on the 607 is half that of the 207 though which is a sizeable difference. The 607 also is a limited stop service so if your a user of the stops it doesn’t serve, you suddenly have to change buses to go beyond Hayes By Pass - hardly a great advert for public transport
