Wow, it's sold out already? lol When I checked yesterday it was sold out two hours after snoggle's original post Well I only saw it via an Ianvisits tweet. He has a very large following so no great shock that things moved quickly. I did get a ticket although I expected not to given the tweet was 2 hours old when I saw it.

Went on the depot tour today - interesting to see inside the maintenance shed and see them prepping a tram for a full hand wash and polish - they do this every 34 weeks apparently. Also saw the Control Room and had an explanation as to how the control system works. We also got Trams badges, chocolates, booklets and could also have a brand new intram route map (I declined this as I couldn't carry it sensibly). Met an old colleague from a very long time ago - he was doing part of the tour. You could also have a sit in the cab but I didn't do this as I've driven a tram in Oslo and also the Tyne and Wear Metro. Andjust to annoy those of you who couldn't get a ticket there were two cancellations on the tour I was on! Typical. I also managed to get my first ride on a Variotram - I thought they were rather nice. Lovely big windows giving a great view. I'll stick up the photos from the depot visit on Flickr over the next couple of days.
