It's clear that Evans & LeBlanc have a monumental task on their hands winning the public over. Having now watched both episodes, I found the 2nd to be a pretty enjoyable watch, also thought that Evans seemed to of toned it down a tat (one of the main gripes I had of the 1st episode) If they really want to move Top Gear onwards to the next chapter, I do feel they need to pack the Clarksonisms on the head: "And across the line" "And on that bombshell" and "Some say" - although I dare say thats all part of The Stigs persona & appeal and will be hard to drop. All in all, I'm prepared to give it a chance. At least it'll give me something to watch on a Sunday evening after Countryfile! If you're around Camden borough... www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3631727/Top-Gear-host-Chris-Evans-hits-skids-spotted-drinking-street-just-days-loses-audience-episode-two.htmlYou can watch him in the street

Must have been a 'no news' day It's not just us that's concerned I don't think there will be any viewers (apart from Scotland who didn't qualify for Euro's) once the football's on

The Columbia bit was good as an epic trip, which harked back to the old days. It will be interesting to see how Freddie Flintoff's contribution to Top Gear will be once Joey from Friends goes...

I know it’s fashionable to say Top Gear hasn’t been the same since Clarkson, Hammond and May left but I’ve enjoyed the various iterations since. Indeed, I thought last nights episode was one of the best since the changes started. There seems to be genuine camaraderie between the three presenters and it’s going to be very interesting to see how Freddie and Paddy evolve as TG presenters

It worked last night, much preferred to the Matt Le Blanc years (with or without Chris). The filmed stuff flowed better between the three of them, as the camaraderie in the studio felt a bit forced. Not surprising as it's the first one though.

In all seriousness, only time will tell if they can restore Top Gear to its heyday because it shed tons of viewers over the last couple of years whilst The Grand Tour proved an unsurprising hit. I haven’t watched it since Clarkson was sacked but McGuiness & Flintoff do interest me to give it a watch particularly as Flintoff was funny on A League of their Own.

I only watched it after reading about it here It is good, a good trio, much better than the desperate 7 presenters in Chris Evans' day
