I remember a few years ago I was able to board just 1 DLR train from Lewisham straight to Stratford without having change or suffer the route 108 When did this change? Why did it change? It's not a big deal or anything, but it was nice to just have one train for less than 30 mins

Think it changed a few years ago, but now it's only AM peak workings that do the full route (except engineering works) and are only 2 car trains

I'm most likely very wrong: the off-peak services were latterly Stratford-Crossharbour - then Stratford-Canary Wharf when 3 car trains ran to Lewisham.
Happy to be corrected.

It's not a big deal or anything, but it was nice to just have one train for less than 30 mins Changed a number of years ago. I think the reason was a desire to keep the Stratford service isolated from delays elsewhere plus a need to rebalance the fleet allocation to maximise three unit workings on Bank - Lewisham so that every train out of Lewisham offered the greatest capacity. The exception is that in the AM peak some trains do run through. This London Reconnections article discusses the most recent timetable changes - www.londonreconnections.com/2015/dlr-update-part-1-finessing-timetable/

From what I can remember, there hasn't been a weekday daytime off-peak Stratford to Crossharbour service. When I first started working there (way back when the trains were formed of 2 cars and were blue), the off peak service pattern was Stratford to Lewisham and Bank to Crossharbour and Lewisham. The peak-time and late night Stratford service operated to Crossharbour. This was then cut back to Canary Wharf, along with the Bank to Crossharbour service The current off-peak service pattern with the Stratfords only going as far as Canary Wharf was to facilitate the 5- minute Bank to Lewisham service
