If I has a penny for every Zubat/Golbat that appeared, I'd buy myself a bus

Found on twitter. Someone seems to have a bit of a problem with Pokemon Go players. I can certainly understand not wanting people in your own yard but think he was a little extreme to tell people to get a life - just tell them to move on elsewhere.

Found on twitter. Someone seems to have a bit of a problem with Pokemon Go players. It gets better! On the BBC web site there is a video of one of this gamers playing the game whilst driving-and hits a patrol car!! Priceless

While his concern is understandable, you can't really tell someone to 'get a life' just because they play a certain game, which happens to be the most downloaded mobile game in history. We are in the day and age of modern technology after all

Over the last few days, I've now obtained the following:
A Sandshrew hatched from an egg A Nidoran F A Ghastly
Other things have popped onto my radar but I've not come across them such as Voltorb, Kingler, Pidgeotto, Hypno, Raticate, Oddish, Fearow, Pikachu, Tentacool, Goldeen, Eevee & Dratini
Still yet to evolve anything yet until I get my level up to around 10 (currently on 8).

My grandchildren have been playing it and it all seems like good fun and it does encourage kids to get out and get some fresh air and exercise but obviously don't trespass on other peoples property or go anywhere you shouldn't.

That's exactly it, just use common sense and you'll be fine. I'm always very observant when my phone is out anyway so it's nothing new to me

I mean...come on!

I mean...come on! Yes, it was like the Wild Wild West Yesterday on my excursions around town, I managed to bag a glut of new pokemon: Canning Town Station saw me obtain a Hypno & I also caught a Goldeen on the DLR leaving Canning Town I caught a few Psyducks at Leamouth & hatched an egg their containing a Kabuto I nabbed a Bellsprout at Trafalgar Square I bagged a Staryu at the bottom of the footbridge between Brent Cross Shopping Centre & Brent Cross Station Got home and caught a Pidgeotto meaning I've caught all of the Pidgey family without even evolving one of them Meanwhile, today, a trip to the shop saw me encounter a Machop, Oddish & Shellder for the first time as well as another Hypno which I caught all four.

I know this thread has been inactive for a while and most people have lost interest in the game (not me- I’ve been a Pokemon fan my entire life, and am particularly excited about the Sinnoh remakes coming soon!) but if you are ever looking for an area that has many interesting Pokemon, it’s Colnbrook. Many a time, on my way home from school on the 81, have I passed through there and a variety Pokemon have appeared. Oh and one thing I will mention is that you will lose data connection in a couple of places (tried and tested with 2 different networks by my brother and I) Despite my age, I also play the games though have long put down Go - I’m looking forward to the Legend: Arceus game though and will also pick up the Sinnoh remakes

Before lockdown this wouldn’t have made any sense to me at all, but last year in the absence of friends and interested siblings, my son trained me to play the Pokémon card game. Surprisingly I quite like it and it’s great fun building a deck.
I really don’t want to introduce my son to Pokémon Go!! I remember when the game was first launched seeing crowds of children and teens walking around staring into their phones completely oblivious of their surroundings. I was on holiday in Malaysia at the time, sat on a beach under a palm tree watching the sea, the spectacular scenery....and Pokémon Go players flocking to a corner of the beach getting really excited. I figured there must have been some kind of special rare character located in the area.

I did play the trading card game during its heyday when Pokémon took the world by storm in the late 90’s & early 00’s and it’s quite fun. To this day, I still have all my cards in varying conditions going back to the original set which was the Base Set

I've revived this thread once before, but here we are 2 years later. One of the locations for Go Fest this year is London, in particular it'll be held in Brockwell Park. Details are here: pokemongolive.com/events/gofest-2023/london?hl=enI myself will be attending as it's the first time it has been held here, I guess it offers something to look forward to following exams They wait till I’ve long stopped playing it before holding it in my local park - I literally live less than 5 minutes from the Brixton Water Lane entrance. Looks like Brockwells got a busy summer what with the concert as well
