1. Other than showbuses, which RM in normal use was the last to carry LONDON TRANSPORT fleetnames?
RM1128 which lost them in July 1983 at its last Aldenham overhaul. It had been a driver trainer since 1977 and for some reason missed its previous repaint.
2. Later in its' career it was involved in an experimental programme. What did this programme involve?
It received an Ashok Leyland 11.6 litre engine as part of the Alternative Engine Evaluation Programme.
OK, I lied about the 'simple' bit ;D

he he, there was, last time i looked, one of the white painted rml's with the ;50; painted on it, at WA the training garage ..

Must have been RML2665. Rode on that on the last day of the 73, was a lovely ride!!
