What happened to the bus stand at Wembley Stadium (Stop SB) since 224 stopped going there It’s been marked as a stop on the 440 but also has a bus stop not in use flag so nothing stops there....

Provided one end of the route has toilet facilities TfL won’t deem it a priority to install toilets at the other end. I’m actually quite surprised that they installed one at Chelsfield for the R7 but it might have been because using Sainsburys at Chislehurst was a little awkward during the restricted entry times A toilet at Westerham might be on the cards because there’s plenty of space for one and it’s not really going to bother anyone because there’s no one there for it to bother! I never understood why residents got so annoyed about the facilities installed at Biggin Hill and Petts Wood. They would only be used by a limited number of drivers and they would be cleaned every day - I can’t really see the argument Probably worried about house prices dropping or some other lame excuse. The Turdis on the R2 was positioned incredibly badly. Why it couldn't of been put in Orpington I have no idea. More pressing issue is a lack of facilities in central London.

Not sure if it’s been discussed before but the bus stand at Crooked Billet in Staines is technically no more. I say technically because the stand still exists in painting at least but the carriageway is now not wide enough for any traffic to pass, should a bus require use of the stand. I’ve never seen it used anyway; I assume buses that terminate at Crooked Billet (still an official turn) either run light to the bus station, use the roundabout to commence the return journey or head straight back to their relevant depot.
Edit: I’ve just checked and it’s actually not listed as a turn, which is bizarre as it’s on the blinds and is used on an almost daily basis, on 216 at least.

When the 46 gets withdrawn between Paddington and Lancaster Gate, where will it stand at Eastbourne Terrace I believe or possibly on Cleveland Terrace. The road just before it goes back onto Bishops Bridge Road looks fine for a stand, (where the 205 rotates back towards Bow)

I've never seen bus blinded for the Crooked Billet. I noticed Ashford Dog and Partridge stand is still there. Although the pub has long gone. The 290s always seemed to prefer Ashford Common.

The stand is just after the roundabout heading towards Staines. I was actually watching a blind change video on YouTube the other day and the Crooked Billet blind was visible. It’s such an awful display as it says ‘Staines, Crooked Billet Roundabout’ and therefore you can barely read it. Should just say ‘Staines, Crooked Billet’ in my opinion. As for the Dog and Partridge, it’s a turn still commonly used, more so on 117. It’s now called Ashford, Woodthorpe Road! I’ve never seen it used by anything other than a school bus. The Ashford Common stand doesn’t exist anymore either although the stop that is there (for 400) is still called Black Dog! Talking of unused stands - I wonder if the Walton Gardens stand in Lower Feltham has ever been used!!

The Stand isn't technically for the Crooked Billet Roundabout as buses would (and still do, although very rarely) just use the roundabout with no stand. The stand is actually for the old Staines Bus garage which used to be where the office block is behind the stand. Photo's of the old bus garage are quite hard to find, I remember the garage being used for Heathrow coach services (Airlinks?) services back in the 90's. As for the Walton Gardens turn, yes it has been used! I have used it often for the 235 when it was operated by TGM from their Byfleet garage. It was quite common turn for TGM. Parked cars were always the issue with using this turn (like The Swan turn at Hanworth for the 111), it can no longer be used as a turn as the road out (Shelson Ave) has now been gated.

Perhaps the H17 could be revised to use the former 224 stand at Wembley Stadium? This would better serve Wembley High Road and shopping/leisure facilities around the stadium

Where do the following routes now stand following revised route changes?
46 at Paddington - does this share the existing 205 or 332 stands, or has a new one been implemented? Also does the stand previously used by the 436 at Paddington still exist?
53 at County Hall/Lambeth North - presumably this shares the 381 stand (with space made by the 341 using the former route 4 stand at Waterloo Road). However, I'm not sure how vehicles would turn around here, as the buses-only section of York Road (to the west of Park Plaza hotel) only allows vehicles to continue left along York Road. Or does the 53 use the stand on Lambeth Palace Road (as previously used on a temporary basis due to roadworks)?
140 at Hayes & Harlington - based on the first and last stops, the stand on Station Road (opposite stop K) seems possible, but this might not be long enough for the 140's high frequency. Or does the 140 stand at Millington Road (stop P)? Presuming in either case that buses turn around at Hayes Asda?

Speaking for the ones vjaska hasn't covered, the eastern side of Eastbourne Terrace used to have a stand of around 10 buses pre Crossrail. All Paddington routes (15, 205, 332, 436) used to stand there. After stand space was taken for the Crossrail works, the 15 got extended to Paddington Basin, the 332 moved to its current stand on Bishop's Bridge Road and alternate stand for the 205 and 436.

Although for some reason the 436s new stand ended up being inaccessible after a couple of years and the 436s moved to stand at Lancaster Gate, dead running there after alighting at their last stop and then heading back to Paddington to pick up. If I'm right the 46 now stands on Bishops Bridge Road which has to be the one of the most useless alighting points out there, it's impossible to access the main station there without a long walk through Paddington. While the 205 stands right around the corner at least that route manages to serve Paddington Station. I know road layouts there have undergone huge changes but surely there's got to be a better way of getting the 46 and 332 to serve Paddington properly when coming in from the North.

I've got to ask this but more fantasy:
Say in a fantasy world, Canning Town was a much more crowded bus station in terms of stands and routes struggled to find where to stand. Could where the 323 stops towards Canning Town at the bus stop Manor Road be used as a place to stand a bus route?
