I was wondering if anyone knows whereabouts the turnover point for the 93 at sutton common, woodstock actually happens According to the route record buses turn and stand at Lower Morden (stop TA), running empty via Tudor Drive. Although the curtailment could also be used by buses running empty to the garage as suggested.

On the 121 there is a turn Enfield Lock Station but buses continue a further 2 or 3 steps towards Enfield Island Village. This is despite there being a bus stand (or at least there was around 3 years ago) in Bradley Road which runs adjacent to the railway. I don't believe this stand has been used since the early 80's when the 135 ran occasional journeys beyond Brimsdown. Perhaps someone could confirm otherwise.

When I worked from Dalson on the 11's in 70's and AG in the 80's we had a turning point at Fulham Salisbury . Interesting thing was that we had 1 scheduled service from Liverpool St in the AM peak and 2 in the PM peak. Only Dalston and Ash Grove buses used it and no buses were allowed to be curtailed short there. Never fully understood the reasons. Even on a lot of web sites which list London bus routes and curtailment points this is omitted.

I think the problem was that with such an intensive service the small stand could have been overwhelmed quickly if curtailments were on a regular basis.I've done a little research and found a timetable for a running day in 2014 which featured a very impressive 21 RT family buses between Liverpool Street and Brook Green, with short journeys interposed. Running number GM 21 which was RT operated did a scheduled short from Aldwych to the Salisbury to help wrap the service up, the only use of the terminus that day, although the bus was NOT required to stand but went back to its base.

The 113 is blinded for Mill Hill Broadway as a destination on the VMHs, I don't think it's an official turning point on iBus and doubt it has ever been used. I'm sure capitalomnibus will know... I imagine buses would run down to the station and stand there rather than terminate at University of London Observatory and come around Mill Hill Circus?

Although it is not an official turning point for "traffic mileage" it can be used for other mileage, ie company deductible, staff, vomit etc. There are a lot of cases where buses would have curtailments on blinds that are not on the official list.

Where does the 246 turn around in Westerham?
I see it stands at the Winston Churchill Memorial. But does the 246 use the green the memorial stands on to turn around. If so it looks very tight where to turn a bus?

If so it looks very tight where to turn a bus? Car/coach park...... Paul will be able to give you more detail. He certainly will! buspeteThe final stop is on the green at the stop named Westerham Green. Buses continue along the A25 and enter the main Westerham town car park, reversing into the bay marked ‘local bus services only’ - unless of course there’s a coach parked there...... To be fair, that doesn’t happen very often although one coach driver appears to have permanently commandeered one of the three spaces since, school times apart, the same coach is always parked there It’s not a bad place to spend 10 minutes or so but it could definitely use one of those TfL toilets since public facilities are too far away to be of any help Oh and source? 246 driver here EDIT: just for additional information, there is the possibility that the car park will, in future, become the first and last stop. There have been officials down at the stand sizing up potential changes needed to make it passenger friendly. Currently there are no safe places to board and alight passengers although that doesn’t stop TfL mandating it when we are obliged to use the Beggars Lane diversion. There is also the question of whether that stop would be served when we toddle off down to Chartwell on summer Sundays

I take it then the turning point is the one marked on Goggle Maps as Darenth Car Park, which is just up from Westerham Green going towards Brasted/Sevonoaks? Very unusual for a bus to turn around in a car park, is this a first for a London bus route?

As to your second question, the 273 comes to mind, using Lewisham Tesco car park as it does. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are other examples

I mostly see 16 not doing the full route do to traffic or other things some times end Marble Arch and Park Lane Hilton Hotel some times on the to 332 Kilburn High Road and Neasden Shopping centre I think the 182 do the shortest working of any route from Brent Cross to Wembley park but don't know it dose end at ASDA or Station

I wouldn’t be surprised if there are other examples There used to be quite a few examples but many of them have since had separate stands built so as to avoid buses running through the car park, e.g 397 at Crooked Billet, W5 at Harringay. The 455 and 463 still run through the car park at Beddington Asda although it isn't a terminus.
