I had a similar idea to this: Divert the 315 in West Norwood via the 322's routing to Gipsy Hill, then Dulwich Wood Park, then via the 450 to Crystal Palace Divert the 322 in West Norwood via West Norwood Station, Gipsy Road & then extend it to Lower Sydenham via the current 450 routing except for the Kingswood Drive section which would be run by the 315. Convert to dual door 10.8m/10.9m single deckers. Withdraw the 450 between Lower Sydenham & College Road & extend to Loughborough Junction via Dulwich Wood Park, South Croxted Road, Park Hall Road (with restriction removed), Rosendale Road, Herne Hill & Milkwood Road. That's quite a bit of shuffling going on there. Not sure I understand the diversion of the 322 in West Norwood is this so the route can take longer dual door SDs? Would that not make the 450 longer than it currently is? Unorm has pretty much covered everything - the diversion of the 322 in West Norwood is to allow the busy route to gain longer dual door buses and leaves the much less busier 315 to cover the important back road section such as St. Gothards Road & Vale Street. As for the 450, it would be a bit longer but bar Herne Hill, all the roads it's serves have little traffic and it finally gives Rosendale Road & Milkwood Road a bus service (the latter had a tram service many years ago and last had a bus service in the late 90's - Mobility Route 861)

Are there any indications that these changes will be taking place before the end of the month? There are only 2 Fridays to go for Jan 17 and I still haven't caught the bus

I expect this to be announced early this week and withdrawn by end of February.

I did the route yesterday, just five other passengers on board. The turn into High Level Drive is a bit tight but otherwise the 10.2m Dart had no difficulty getting round.

Maybe some issues with Dial a Ride which is causing delays in withdrawing Route 931, as i know the 965 was saved before as Dial-A-Ride couldnt cope with the extra people.

Perhaps - the changes were planned to be implemented in January - "subject to consultation" - of course. I imagine we will hear in due course. I would like to do the route on its last day personally.

Did you do both directions out of interest? No only the journey to Lewisham, I had other things to do or would have done the return. It would probably have been just the same five people from the morning journey?

Although the consultation has NOT been updated the TfL Digital Blog is saying that the 931's last day is Friday 24th March. Time for a mass forum ride on the last day to give it the most passengers it's ever had.

I'm somewhat surprised that the route is going this Friday but nothing on the actual consultation page stating this.

I'm somewhat surprised that the route is going this Friday but nothing on the actual consultation page stating this. They'll do what they did with the R5/10 frequency reduction consultation. Announce the result hours before the change takes effect and justify it on the grounds that the 6 known users of route 931 already have alternative transport arrangements made for them.

I'll check the solitary bus stop on Hillcrest on Sunday to see if it's still there
