Curses, the veil of mystery was lifted too early. Anyway nice to say hello to a few forum members and the two who daren't speak their name. At least the regulars have a bus for 4 more Fridays and the driver can give them all a hug again then.

Looking at Flickr, there appears to be a few pics of the afternoon pick up at Lewisham - I only managed to do the AM journey - were there a lot of enthusiast on the PM? Couldn't stay for PM due to work

Couldn't stay for PM due to work There were about 8 of us. I might do it again on the actual last day when I suspect more people might be out - but would be good if space was left for the 4-6 regular travellers if it's busy!

Or maybe we could try and get half the fourm to swamp the 931 to standing room only over the easter break when some of us younger lot will be off school. I

Looking at Flickr, there appears to be a few pics of the afternoon pick up at Lewisham - I only managed to do the AM journey - were there a lot of enthusiast on the PM? Couldn't stay for PM due to work I did go on the morning one, but only just made it at Crystal Palace Park Road after getting caught up in rail disruption What made it almost terminal was boarding a train at New Cross Gate without checking the platform displays, and therefore failing to notice it had been amended to run fast from New Cross Gate to Norwood Junction (direct Crystal Palace LO train was terminated, and my backup plan was to take that Southern service to Sydenham for a bus to Crystal Palace). Then at Norwood Junction I'd just missed a 157, and the next thing to Crystal Palace was a train 8 minutes later, so I took that and then had to walk up the hill as no bus was nearby luckily my 227 left on time and overtook it . Another forum member missed it too think the Tardis conked out on the way there This photo was taken right after I got off at Lewisham. Driver saw me and invited me to get back on until the stand

Or maybe we could try and get half the fourm to swamp the 931 to standing room only over the easter break when some of us younger lot will be off school. I If half the forum turned up you'd need several double deckers. A smallish number of people turning up is fine but the regulars certainly can't stand for 30 minutes and while, yes, it's a public service it's sort of a special one. I know you're only teasing but this bus is a lifeline for the regulars - that much was evident today from chatting with the regulars and seeing their reaction on seeing TfL info that today was supposedly the last day and that they had not been told by TfL. I think someone at TfL probably had a bit of a sore ear this afternoon after one of the ladies got home and got on the phone. Possibly the best day to do it is actually Good Friday when it does usually run despite it being a general Saturday service. Roads are less busy and buses tend to run more smoothly. The only danger is that half the tube and rail network is shut making it difficult to make long connecting journeys. As a small aside I think that in more favourable circumstances even an hourly service M-S, perhaps with a few more stops on the way, would probably do well given Lewisham is a logical destination and the unique estate loops have a lot of houses / flats. I know other routes are nearby but it's still a trek if you're laden with shopping given the hilly terrain. Still we can but dream can't we?

I'm happy to hear the route has a few more trips left, gives me a chance to ride it!

I see the 931 ran again today. And still no update to the consultation. Bit like the ending of 691, consultation said will be discontinued by October, results came out November, last bus December. Only a handful of replies, but perhaps the lack of replies resulted in someone forgetting to close consultation and route.

Must be some issues withdrawing it then, more then likely legal issues with Abellio now, as wasn't it a 5 year contract that was awarded in to start in December?

I'm not all that clued up with the 931 but the vehicle used to run in conjunction with the 152 allocation. What route does it run with now or is it a standalone element?
