youtu.be/8YlX6GHAUYkI chose to take a ride on renumbered route EL3 on the New Routemasters, so I did, on LTZ2111. It was the bus's first day in service and smelt SO new! I found the ride very enjoyable except from when a dumbfounded conductor wannabe tried telling me that I wasn't allowed to film or take photos of the bus, at around 8~10 mins into the video. However, the ride was very fun and showed me there is more in East London than just Westfield Stratford! The Riverside was beautiful and in my opinion made the terminus one of the nicest I've been to, along with the very quiet Chiswick Business Park, soon accommodating brand new electric buses on LU to be, route 70! Enjoy the ride.

Haha I recognised that voice long before I seen the face. Short, stubbly beard, twin hearing aids. Don't worry we just nod and agree as well lol. Think he's also made it onto the el3 Rota. You'll have to go back when the riverside extension is actually finished at the moment it's just the bog standard 387 except it goes through the town centre.

Wait, do you mean that the Riverside terminus hasn't been finished yet, or are you referring to the Overground planned extension to the Riverside?

Routes EL1 and EL3 are going to be extended further into Barking Riverside to the location where the new site for Riverside School is. That's taking place in September 2017 to line up with the school year as well as the completion of the new routes. The EL3 will also be rerouted in the Thames Road area at this time so it serves some of the new housing. Once this happens the current stand at Mallards road will be left unused until the new London Overground extension opens, once that happens every other EL1 will terminate at Mallards Road while the others continue down to the new terminus.

Ah OK, I thought that the current terminus was the new one!
