Quick update. The first new vehicle 201 has been delivered and connected together but is being kept out of sight inside Beckton Shed pending a grand roll-out - the "Authorities" don't want any photos being leaked prior to the day

Yeah, I saw Khan on the news at the launch of the new fleet - interior looks nice but not keen on the livery on the exterior I feel the external livery on these is perhaps a bit plain, but smart. However I'm not sure how well it would look on the B07s if/when they receive it, since either the edge of the teal will have to cut across the styling on the front corners, or the white will have to wrap around below which may show up dirt. The interior colour scheme looks good. I wish these had more than eight transverse seats in the whole unit, but the DLR was already moving towards mostly longitudinal with the reconfiguration of the B07s and this is therefore simply the result of removing the middle ends (seems like a contradiction in terms, but they don't have cabs so...). Of course the job of the DLR is to carry large numbers of commuters short distances so I wouldn't argue any of this to be a mistake, just that personally the view out the side on the DLR can sometimes be almost as good as out the front.

Will probably be a similar issue to the revised Overground livery, which was clearly designed around the 710s, and so doesn't quite work with the 378s. Glad that the DLR livery is being brought more in line with the other TFL modes though, particularly with the interior.

The light blue is pretty much KAD's house colour.
So glad I'm on N's and didn't have to suffer the parade of dignitaries being shown around the Control Centre today π

Glad that the DLR livery is being brought more in line with the other TFL modes though, particularly with the interior. I agree that it makes sense for the DLR livery to use the mode's colour as with the others, though I'd probably take it (and the Elizabeth Line) further in that direction with the mode colour on the doors, blue skirt, etc. Perhaps that style was no longer seen as modern enough for the Elizabeth in particular - after all it is over 30 years since it first appeared on LU - but it just feels a bit too inconsistent to me.

Press launch of the new B23 fleet today: No "In Cab" cameras in the console at the front so the platform mirrors will still live on for a while yet , also the front windows look quite narrow but overall trains look good , and are the B07 stock staying aswell then ?

The new DLR livery is really just a slightly simpler version of the Elizabeth line one (and in turquoise rather than purple). So maybe we'll eventually see the Overground/Trams/Tube/etc go in a similar direction? I personally think the Tube/Overground livery is starting to get a bit dated, though the Overground update for the 710s has made a big difference. If TFL want to emphasise an identifiable colour for each mode, then the Tube maybe needs to switch to all blue, rather than the red too which is more associated with buses (but the issue there is the iconic red/blue roundel). Most other details on the tube network, such as in stations (e.g. handrails), or seating moquette on most lines, tend to always be dark blue anyway.

Certainly brighter than current livery.
