Yup - it was moved out of the shed at Beckton after the big launch and put into the Engineering sidings - completely visible from Armada Way and the Bridge to Nowhere which spans the western end of Beckton Depot. It and about 6 other vehicles were heavily graffitied at about 2:45am on last Sunday morning - I've watched the CCTV footage of them doing it in the Control Centre. A complete own goal IHMO - some extra security should have been arranged for BED on that weekend. Never mind they painted "Sorry" on it too so that's all OK then 🙄

TfL is exercising an existing option for an add-on order. The trains will be funded by the Government's Housing Infrastructure Fund and the extra trains will unlock the building of up to 10,000 extra homes across the network, especially in the Royal Docks and on the Isle of Dogs.

More homes on the Isle of Dogs , surprised the place hasn't sunk ! And post COVID are the trains needed ? A bit like c2cs 720s no longer needed realistically but suppose have to plan for future growth .

Most of the routes will need a capacity increase at some point to cope with future housing developments.

I know some will disagree but the work from home boom is slowing down with more and more employers expecting people in the office more days per week.

Although notably HSBC is vacating their Canary Wharf office due to WFH and travel, it's unsure who else will want to rent such a large building.

Are the B07 due to get a refurbishment once the new trains are in service, bringing them in line with the new livery and interior (like how the Overground 378s are being refurbished to match the 710s)?

Sorry, only just seen this. Plan is the B07s will be refurbished once the B23 fleet is in service, not sure what the spec for the refurb will be though
