The earliest I can remember is 2006-7, but it probably goes back to the Network Southeast or Connex days. (Our older posters would have a closer answer for us.)

(Our older posters would have a closer answer for us.) Southern have run the peak hours trains round wimbledon loop since Thameslink took over the main service. Originally prior to thameslink they were run as rounders to from Holborn Viaduct and either Victoria or London Bridge the reason they are kept is for the link to London Bridge by direct train
