As far as I know NO! On reading somewhere there is 29,000 buses operating in the Capital so I am sure they can absorb the loss! The bus timetables here are non existent to some extent, you only have first bus starting at origin to last bus at terminus. The bus can turn up in 5 minutes or 1 hr, who knows, however the buses here are fun, no turns and constant pedal to the metal!
Just a quick point if anyone going to Beijing this week, the city is on lock down due to some meeting here and foreigners been advised to stay indoors as police is checking all foreigners documents, it's a bit annoying but as I am legal I still go to the city, I don't care if they stop me! However today coming home at every subway station had the police and army in even on every train carriage, it's a little unnerving but you get used to it!

Great news I have managed to overcome the internet ban sites by installing a VPN and now can access Flickr so in a next few days I will start to download buses which I see here in Beijing. At the moment I am in Hengshui around 200 miles south of Beijing, on Wednesday be flying to Wuxi for a few days. Reports and photos be coming, I need to discover how Flickr work, I have just managed to download, advice please?
