It is also mentioned in the Network Rail Kent Route Study documents that came out last week. I think it's the Technical Appendix which deals with possible schemes / proposals no matter what level of maturity the scheme detail is at. While I can understand the local demands I suspect that the very constrained site will make it very difficult to build a viable, accessible station that meets modern standards and could cope with trains of up to 8 or 10? carriages. The same issues afflict reinstatement of Camberwell station. What passed as acceptable when they were built / later closed is nowhere near what is needed today. That'll be the killer - cost and engineering complexity. I actually struggle to see how they are going to cope with improving Brixton NR station - also mentioned in the Route Study documents.
