The East Ham to Manor Park corridor does need the 3 routes due to demand but I guess if that had extended the 101 they could have increased the frequency. I agree with the comment regarding so many buses to East Ham and it’s a bit of a running joke on here. The local area has so many buses going to one destination yet a popular shopping hub like Stratford lost its link unless passengers catch two buses or walk some distance. The 474 diversion was pretty poor IMO. I think TfL took passenger data from Canning Town to Keir Hardie but never considered where passengers left the buses. Guess this is the problem when you only have tap on and no tap off data. When the 129 come to the local area it’s not really going to add much unless passengers want to head south via the tunnel. I mean for the 129 it will be a good cheaper alternative for those that live in the Newham area that would like to go to the south of the river. It will give people an excuse not to pile on the 108 which is at the moment the only direct route from that borough that goes South of the river. The problem with the 129 is it will leave the tunnel then head towards Beckton so will miss a major interchange at Canning Town so pretty awkward for onward journeys towards places like Stratford.

However it would then mean that people would somewhat (albeit a longer way) have an alternative route to get to South London without having to go to Stratford. Out of curiosity doesn't the 108 stop at Canning Town unofficially when the Blackwall Tunnel is going through it's maintenance works?

Going back to the 129 passenger would have to head to a stop along North Woolwich way if they are approaching from Canning Town, it’s just a shame there is no decent interchange for the tunnel routes.

I think there might be room to have that link looked into but I feel as though it may involve a few other routes in the process. Possibly the 330 and 474. The endgame for this is that they want the 129 to come to Beckton to serve a new land over there around Gallions Reach. The question is from your perspective if they were to have the 129 serve Canning Town how would you route it to it's last stop

Hopefully TFL will consult on sending some more routes through the tunnel closer to when it opens? I'm not sure the 129 and SL4 were the best choices to start off, particuarly at such high frequencies. The priority should be linking to hubs like Canning Town for further interchange - and also seems a missed opportunity not to have diverted the 108 through the Silvertown Tunnel and converted to DDs. The 129 makes sense south of the river, but I'm not sure about the exact routeing through the Royal Docks. With the SL4, Canary Wharf is certainly a good place for a cross-river service, but a lot of passengers may want to make shorter journeys to/from North Greenwich or Charlton, rather than non-stop to Blackheath. I can see the SL4 appealing to some commuters, but is there really the demand off-peak? Also would be useful to link the rest of the Isle of Dogs across to North Greenwich.

Route 129 will run long North Woolwich Road, City Airport, Connaught Bridge, Stansfeld Road, Tollgate Road then towards Great Eastern Quay. What makes me laugh is the 300 was removed from Stansfeld Road because they felt it was over bussed.

Pretty sure the 129 will interchange with the 241 once it leaves the tunnel on the north side. It would be other places that have it would have poor connections to, such as Poplar, or Barking.
