I am actually a bit concerned now over the amount of incidents on route 55 since it has gone LT. It has to be high on the list for KSI and also serious RTC's. Driving that route, I know it can be a bit stressful at times, but wonder why is many of these types of accidents on a high over the past 3-4 years. Yesterday evening someone went under a 55 on Lea Bridge Rd and died after.

TfL publish a load of bus safety data here tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/bus-safety-dataPeople can check the spreadsheets to see what routes have worse records. In the most recent quarter reported the 55 doesn't look out of kilter to me. Metroline and Arriva London North have the highest totals of injuries / serious injuries. Stagecoach's numbers are relatively modest in comparison.

The standard of driving is at an all time low for me the nonsense I see every day on the roads and I don't even drive.

Especially the amount of LT's been heavily damaged, which it doesn't show.

An article in tonight's Evening Standard says it was a number 56 bus involved in this tragic accident.
