The lack of an N134 starting at Tottenham Court Road is a major flaw since Warren Street is not where people want to board the bus heading home in the middle of the night. It didn’t work when the night service on route 242 was cut back to St Paul’s so you would have thought they might have realised.... Agreed. Although this may be slightly mitigated by the Night Tube on weekends, an N134 starting from TCR or even Trafalgar Square would keep the punters in

They're only interested in saving money as apposed to being interested in increasing revenue otherwise this awful collection of changes wouldn't be happening full stop.

London Travelwatch had TfL people and John Trayner, MD of GAL in for a meeting this morning. Usual "party line" stuff from TfL people. Notable, but not a shock, that Mr Trayner was critical of the upcoming changes saying that passengers would be confused by them. Also critical of Uber and similar services and their impact on congestion.
He also mentioned "dynamic scheduling" which GAL are trialling in Singapore. I assume that's a clever way of responding in real time to traffic conditions with "dynamic" allocation of vehicles into service to deal with actual traffic conditions rather than it being fixed into the schedule regardless of prevailing conditions.

Have all of the PVR's been confirmed for the central London bus cuts so far we know that:
3 = 1 Less 45 = 8 Less 14 = 3 More 35 = 8 More 40 = 1 More 171 = 4 Less 172 = 3 Less 343 = 2 More 476 = 6 Less

So 13 more conventional buses needed for the 14/35/343 and 7 coming spare from the 171/2. Likely more NB4Ls on the 176 to free them up or the 6 WNVs from the 476 to maybe the 5 or 93 to release Hybrids.

Easiest move is LTs from the 12 to the 176 but assume buses will need to be moved / reblinded quickly over the weekend ready for Monday when PVRs will be higher.

I would love it if Q were to put coventional blindsets in the LTs which they reblind so that we could get more LT strays on to non LT routes. Sadly that's unlikely to happen as there'd be no benefit in taking blinds out of buses when they are recieving and influx in buses unless the 40's PVR drops then a blindset out of a Q convetional could find its way into an LT again

They could fit any spare older blinds in LTs as long as they have 12/176 so you never know.
