I presume that if the staff who do the contract bids for nibs if they remain with the company will not be able to bid for any contracts that stepehensons run and vice versa with stepehensons

I presume that if the staff who do the contract bids for nibs if they remain with the company will not be able to bid for any contracts that stepehensons run and vice versa with stepehensons I expect Stephensons will have a complete overview of all bids for tendered work and will decide which part of their empire is best placed to bid for what. I don't see NIBS having that much autonomy at a commercial level. After all Stephensons are responsible for the entire business having bought it and thus will want to ensure that it remains profitable / becomes even more profitable. The way I read the article is that NIBS were bought because there was no great overlap with what Stephensons do - I can't comment whether that's really true as I'm not very au fait with the Essex bus network these days and who runs what.

Looking at both the nibs website and the Stephenson’s website both companies seem to run a few services that overlap each operation in the Basildon Wickford and Brentwood area
