Im thinking about working at stagecoach rainham. Any thoughts on this? How long does it take to get on a rota as i dont enyoy being spare! I can't comment for Rainham garage but I'll give you some advice about working for Stagecoach. Firstly it's a great UK wide company and as a driver you'll have many privilages. The pay is not great compared to other companies but in general and in my personal opinion the managers, garage staff & colleagues are very supportive and will do their best to assist you as much as possible. Loads and Loads of Stagecoach drivers have resigned and started to work for other operators for many reasons such as pay and preferred routes etc, but Imo pay is not everything and shouldn't be. Rota - I had been at Leyton garage for nearly 10 months and still was stuck on spear list but I was promised that I would be put on the 55 rota as soon as the extension to Walthamstow takes place. So I don't know how Rainham will work, but Rainham drivers work on a different rota type to other garages in the company. The best gentleman to answer this is VPL630. I resigned last month from Stagecoach and had plans to apply for another company but one thing I know strongly is that another operator would not be as supportive and understanding to my driver needs as Stagecoach as I have other friends who work at TT, AL & GAL even ML. I am returning to them next month in the New Year with garage TBC. Ending the advice, if you plan to be a bus driver I strongly recommend going to Stagecoach even though the pay is not great you'll have a great time if you want to and try to☺. Don't worry about the recruitment process and if you have further questions please DM me and I will help as much as I can.

Not adding much to discussion, but staff varies per garage, I seen best and worst so it's not like Stagecoach is best for granted, every company has some dodgy and really nice garages staff-wise. Same goes for McDonalds as a comparison some are better than others lol.
Probably will take at least 5 months before you're on rota...if they got new route coming up you might luck into something sooner, but if not then like dennistas said about 8 months and it's not even guaranteed.
