A new map showing the position and fleetnumber/registration of every tracking bus in the UK. It is still in progress and not every single bus tracks yet but obviously a massive step from what we have now. You can also see what vehicles have run on a route/are currently running by selecting any route on the regular site and adding '/vehicles' at the end of the web adress. bustimes.org/vehicles?fbclid=IwAR0i8go_7HSuw3RBAVj9UeVfrEIWHpORWnHsrAPoxKYgBwC2XEmcmxUg6J0Eg the 724 currently shows these vehicles tracking and there is a Citaro on Uno's 614 3891 3894 3896 3897

Interesting development.
Shame London is excluded on that map but I guess it would make the map immensely "busy". Just a random check of evening buses shows a worrying amount of early running - wouldn't like to be cutting it fine to catch buses in Southend, Basildon, Coventry, Tamworth. Ensignbus are closest to being on time - unsurprisingly.
Will be worth looking at in the daytime to see how many more buses track.

Would love to know how whoever made this app if you can call it that gets the data it's amazing ! As when I usually use the First app it normally just counts down the timetable as it were this is a game changer thanks for sharing .

Well done to whoever made this so! Love it. It will be useful for us all and other too!.
Shame Kent area not yet showing! Am I wondering why Stagecoach and Arriva are only one not show yet? mmm
Ahi sees not all of the bus companies though yet.

They seem to be working quite rapidly on it, also you will find that certain depots for Stagecoach and Arriva (although tracking equipment poor in shires) have tracking. Portsmouth, Worthing, Aldershot for Stagecoach and most shires depots.

I assume the data is coming from the ticket machines? Do all the operators use the same type of ticket machine?

For example the Arriva 110 Birm - Tamworth is covered. Stagecoach Gold 48 from Coventry to Leicester is covered. Centrebus and Uno in Herts, Beds and Northampton are covered as are bits of First Essex and Arriva Southend. Go Ahead doesn't seem to be covered at all nor is Arriva North East nor Stagecoach NE - inevitable I'd look in an area I knew!

Yeah, I’ve seen Centrebus in Leicester as well as First Leicester covered but no Arriva Midlands.

I assume the data is coming from the ticket machines? Do all the operators use the same type of ticket machine? I know First Essex Buses have a "iBus' type unit in the same place as London Buses that tells the Driver if he is on time etc or at least they did a few years back maybe the info comes from this ?
