No doubt in my mind - Angel Road Superstores on 341s. What are passengers at Waterloo Station to make of that? If anything, they're probably inclined to think it's Islington bound. Especially as the Superstores (just two of them!) are actually on Glover Road and Angel Road is further north (hopefully this will get changed to Meridian Water) Having a mischievous streak, I wonder if foreign tourists arriving on Eurostar at Waterloo used to wander onto Waterloo Road, saw buses going to the 'superstores' and got on thinking they were bound for Selfridge's and Harrods.

Some Spanish translator and English phrase books do have the sentence "Driver, is it this bus for IKEA? / Dondes esta IKEA?" Best thing I was hoping for when those 6 or so buses got the Hanover LED's was more functionality such as scrolling messages which could help for more information... we heard nothing more about that trial... and the BCI isn't out enough on the 12 for anyone else to see the blind Instead the money's being lost on non essentials such as the silly ads telling people to get back on the bus (electronic, not paper it seems) and sorting out other failed projects... i.e the missing new trains for West Anglia on the Overground / hanging on the 172's long enough to keep the GOBLIN running

It's a shame nothing came out of that trial; I ended up taking an end-to-end a round trip with my brother on it when it was sunset, and at dusk the LEDs were pretty legible. I also witnessed the future of automatic display changes as the LED 86 was curtailed to Romford Market when we rode it. Needless to say, one of my earliest & best bus experiences to date!

Are you sure that bus wasn't just 19000? Or 18500 at the time. It was originally delivered with LEDs and would pop up on the 86.

Well it has to be, there weren't many E400s at that time with Stagecoach and definitely weren't many in east London back then!

Notable mentions: - St James Street. So annoying you can get dropped off the station forecourt, South Grove or Blackhorse Road with this blind! IIRC the 230 was the only South Grove route to have this as a qualifier and not St James Street; I was hoping when CT Plus got the W19, it'd say Walthamstow South Grove but it didn't happen unfortunately. Right, before a reblind (?) that had D6 added (and I'm not sure how many buses that involved, doubt all 9.6m singles were done; anyway I lost track from this point so I can't speak for what the blind is now); for that destination the native 66reg E200 batch would actually display Walthamstow SOUTH GROVE, but… the MMCs would show Walthamstow ST JAMES STREET. Go figure! . MMCs also displayed plain Ilford as opposed to the notably OTT desto of the E200s. It was certainly strange the buses had a totally different blind spec, but doesn't matter as all still showed incorrect Chest Hospital for 309 I've reported it several times but there is as much as one can do… --- My own addition: 27 - 'Chalk Farm'. It. Finishes. At. The. Morrison's. Doesn't serve the station at all. RATP had a chance to update the vague blind that previously drew criticism, with newstyle LTs due, and what do they do? Nothing - still the same... Imagine if the Business Park qualifier got taken off though… 🤔 Exactly.

235 to North Brentford Quarter - I believe the estate (the locals will hate me for using that word!) is called Great West Quarter, I think NBQ was the development name initially?

Due to the constant breaking bollards on the development (how dare you call it an estate, I've paid good money for these plasterboard walls, low ceilings and concierge ), most 235's have used 'County Court' at Brentford instead The vague 'Enfield' one bugs me on the 192's, 317's and 329's and 'Waterloo' seems to suffice for the 243 and 341 despite differing places they terminate

Spirit of London was called that right from the start, That it was marking the 7 July bombings was the whole point of the vehicle.

I think this was re-blinded (very thankfully) to the current one a couple of years back. The angel road superstores stand-alone was so difficult to comprehend ....
