Does anyone have an ETA when the W&C line will reopen? I don't think it's going to be any time soon, apart from the lack of demand there are also concerns about whether social distancing is possible in the staff area at Waterloo.

London Underground is working towards reopening the Waterloo & City Line in May or June, to be ready for office workers as they return to the City of London. At present, the alternative routes still have sufficient capacity and the drivers are more usefully deployed to the Central Line.
Incidentally, today (March 19th) marks exactly one year since the Waterloo & City Line last carried passengers - although lockdown wouldn't be declared formally for another four days, it was already clear that people were deserting public transport in droves.

Additionally, current proposals don't see a reintroduction of the Saturday service.

Is the W & C considered part of the Central Line in terms of general staffing?

whens night tube coming back and 24 hour weekend routesssssssssss As said in the dedicated Night Tube thread; not this spring and “when London needs it”, a whole new recruitment campaign would have to be done.

I believe the night tube always operated at a loss, I don't see it coming back until the TfL network makes enough money once again in order to be able to afford to run it. That could be an extremely long time by this point.

The fact it has been out of action now for a while any key workers who used it have found alternatives; namely the night routes they use Sunday to Thursday.

Even if for example things got back to normal quickly it will take a while for night tube to get up and running again, some night drivers have gone full time and the rest are next in line which don’t seem long for them so another recruitment drive for night drivers will be needed then training etc.

Lack of t/ops is starting to affect normal rostering let alone any COVID scenarios and needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency as the amount or retirees is set to increase
