I can't say I am surprised. This one has a long way to run. Firstly we'll need to see what changes, if any, including pension changes TfL will propose. I note that so much is under review. I can easily see the unions then going on strike, but they may not wield the same amount of power as they used to have prior to Covid. Of course should there be a strike we can be rest assured of a great bus service in central and inner London after all the cuts!!!

Pensions is always a very touchy subject, more so especially when some have been paying years into it, or take out higher pensions.

Turnout just 67% Is that 67% of staff or 67% of Aslef union members. As BBC seems to be giving that 98% figure for Aslef union members. If 67% staff that would be very high as I thought membership for Aslef was just slightly more than RMT.

So if 100 ballot papers were sent out, 67 were returned and 66 voted in favour of industrial action .... very rough figures

See here’s where TfL need to hit back at unions and go on an anti-union campaign to spin it to make out like they don’t care about passenger safety, particularly women, out late night and that it is the best interest of all Londoners to bring back the night tube. Basically put it the hands of the customer and media to shame the unions into backing down. I may have watched too much Scandal but that’s what I would do.

Unions are there so workers have their rights. Yeah, they may be excessive at times, but would you like to see your working agreement ripped up? I wouldn't try to attack the unions for this (Unless of course maybe there is much more to this than the article suggests)

Seen this tactic so many times over the years, usually does not work well and just puts a further wedge between both parties. This was always going to be a problem when they stopped it to restart, as initially there was problems with the night tube and staff conditions when it first started leading it to be delayed.
