Hello! I'm a bus and train enthusiast from New Delhi, India. I really am quite obsessed with buses in the UK but I also thought that I could share some pictures of the buses in Delhi and India so as to provoke some discussion. I hope that's okay. This is the JBM CityLife 2327CL operating with Delhi Transit (also called the Delhi Integrated Multi Modal Transport System Limited). I took this pic while waiting at Mandi House bus stop.

Hello and welcome to the Forum! We are (generally) a friendly bunch although some of us are quite opinionated at times.
I see no harm in sharing pictures and other news about buses in Delhi, after all that's what the Bus Operations Worldwide section is for. I moved away from London two years ago and I often share bits of information from my new home area of Devon.

That's nice to hear! Kolkata hasn't changed much for a couple of decades. The blue and yellow private buses are still running. It's funny how they look really dated but are actually technically quite modern. Hello! I'm a bus and train enthusiast from New Delhi, India. Those were special (I stayed close to where one of the routes started so Used to board them whenever I could although they were very slow on anything uphill!)

The government bus services in Kolkata are usually operated by JanBuses made by Ashok Leyland (Switch!). Ashok Leyland claims that they are the world's first front engined low floor buses. I'm not sure if they are true though.

I have seen pictures of some new double deckers that Ashok Leyland made in 2017 or something. All I can say is that they aren't the best looking buses I've seen. That's nice to hear! It looks incredibly short, but could be a trick of the photo.
