That's what I thought as well, I'm surprised at Arriva's about turn but with a seemingly never ending driver shortage at NF I can't help thinking that the 477 will always play second fiddle to the Fastrack routes and the 480/490 and there's been a few complaints about the latter. It doesn’t help that the 477 is an unreliable service. There’s often complaints of buses being skipped and not turning up, with people being left stranded in Dartford and having to get taxis home after paying for return tickets. Arriva should put a bit of pride and effort in running a good service rather than half arsing it. I can't help thinking Go Coach would have done a much better job, Arriva have been poor for sometime now and last buses not showing up is totally unacceptable.

Yeah they possibly would have been, at least there’s the possibility that they’d care. As long as it wouldn’t be like a 2 return journeys a day type of service like the Swanley to Sevenoaks route.

I haven’t read all 7 pages so sorry guys. I no longer live in that part of the world but this seems so bonkers. What about the shoppers, staff who need to get to Bluewater?
Presumably passengers would have to get the TFL bus that went from Plumstead to Bluewater.. doesn’t that go non stop from Dartford to Bluewater, no stopping? My memory may be wrong here.

Obviously not many of them use it which is why this is happening. If it was well used, sure this course of action would not be required.

The idea is that passengers use Fastrack between Dartford and Bluewater.

Ok, but it’s not running on a Sunday. So anyone that lives in Orpington, Swanley area will struggle to get a bus to Bluewater.

That true, but still an inconvenience for people who now have to get from Orpington high street to Sidcup, just so they can get to Bluewater.

I doubt many people travelled from Orpington to Bluewater on it, Arriva originally intended to withdraw the route entirely.
